Seattle Kraken vs. Boston Bruins
My Pick – David Pastrnak to Account for Over 1.5 Points (+110) at DraftKings
One of the biggest and earliest games tonight is the Eastern versus Western Conference battle between the Boston Bruins hosting the Seattle Kraken. Both the Bruins and the Kraken need a big win to redevelop that momentum after a bad start back from the NHL All-Star Break.
The Bruins have lost three of the last four games and are therefore small favorites over a struggling Kraken. Boston will need a wake-up call from their star Star players to stay at the top of the Atlantic Division. One player the Bruins can rely on is star forward David Pastrnak.
Pastrank has accounted for 77 points this season, which is third in the NHL. While the Bruins haven’t been good in the four games since the All-Star Break, Pastrnak has been productive. Pastrnak has accounted for two points in two of the four games played, all being assists.
While the Kraken are not an elite team, they are still ranked among the top ten in scoring, The Kraken allow an average of 2.57 goals per game, 10th in the league. In order to ensure that the Bruins will secure a solid win against a playoff contender, they will Pastrank to lead the offense.

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Chicago Blackhawks
My Pick – Erik Karlsson to Account for Over 0.5 Assists (-130) at DraftKings
It has been a difficult season for the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins have championship-caliber goals and expectations based on the talent and experience of their roster. Those expectations haven’t been able to translate to more wins this season.
The Penguins are coming off a 5-2 home loss to the Florida Panthers last night to make it three consecutive losses in a row. They have no choice but to quickly move on from the loss and prepare for a sudden road game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Luckily for the Penguins, the Blackhawks possess the fourth-worst scoring defense in the league (allowing an average of 3.51 points per game). The Penguins can continue to do what they have been well after the NHL All-Star Break, which is passing the puck. Defender Erik Karlsson has three assists in three games after the break.
30 of Karlsson’s 37 points this season have come from assists. The offense can get their momentum going early against a bad defense with Karlsson getting more active in the offensive gameplan.
