Carolina Hurricanes vs. Columbus Blue Jackets
My Pick – Seth Jarvis to Account for Over 0.5 Points (-130) at DraftKings
The Carolina Hurricanes are back in the win column after defeating a dangerous Minnesota Wild team on the road with a 3-2 score this past Tuesday. They are back on the road this Thursday as they take on their divisional rival, the Columbus Blue Jackets.
This game is a great opportunity for the Hurricanes to continue developing their offense for a late push well into the postseason. One player who could continue their great run this season is Hurricanes center Seth Jarvis, who is second on the team in points accounted for (47), goals scored (18), and assists accounted for (29).
In the 11 games played after the NHL All-Star Break, Jarvis has accounted for nine points, with six being assists. He accounted for a goal or an assist in six of the first seven games coming out of the All-Star Break.
Jarvis should have an opportunity to score a goal or set up a great shot for his teammates, with the Blue Jackets possessing the 31st-ranked scoring defense in the league (3.67 goals allowed per game).

Colorado Avalanche vs. Chicago Blackhawks
My Pick – Artturi Lehkonen to Account for Over 0.5 Points (-150) at DraftKings
The Chicago Blackhawks are once again placed on national television despite being one of the worst teams in the league. This is the price of having a great young, future star in the league in center Connor Bedard. The Blackhawks will have the tough task of hosting the Colorado Avalanche, who are seeing great performances from their stars and key role players.
To ensure the stars are not burned out, they need more impact outside the big three. Since the NHL All-Star Break, the Avalanche have had great input from forward Artturi Lehkonen. In the 11 games played after the break, Lehkonen has accounted for 11 points (second-most on the team) with a team-high six goals.
The last time Colorado faced Chicago, Lehkonen accounted for an assist. That was his first assist of the season and he has come a long way to becoming a key role player for a championship-caliber team.
