Best NHL Prop Bets Today January 4

This Thursday night will have numerous games played on the ice as they have the potential to earn NHL fans and casual bettors some significant earnings through player props. Three games tonight have the opportunity to earn fans and bettors a lot of money through DraftKings. Among the best player props tonight is one of the league’s best players and two key role players for a playoff-building team.

Here are our favorite NHL player prop picks for Thursday.

The following odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook, where the NHL Prop Bets can be made. Check out the best NHL bonuses and promo codes for more betting opportunities.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. New York Rangers

My Pick – Artemi Panarin to Account for Over 1.5 Points (-110) at DraftKings

Forward Artemi Panarin has been one of the busiest players not only for the New York Rangers but also in the entire NHL. Through 36 games this season, Panarin has accumulated 51 points with a team-high 23 goals and a team-high 28 assists. He has accounted for two or more points in two of the last four games for the Rangers.

On Thursday night, the Rangers will host the Chicago Blackhawks, who possess one of the worst defenses in the league. The Blackhawks allow an average of 3.76 goals per game, which is second worst in the league, only ahead of the San Jose Sharks.

This game will be a great opportunity for star players like Panarin to account for multiple points. He should have plenty of options to score against an inefficient and terrible defense of the Blackhawks.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Minnesota Wild

My Pick – Brandon Hagel to Account for Over 0.5 Points (-130) at DraftKings

The Tampa Bay Lightning possess one of the most explosive and efficient offenses in the NHL as they possess numerous stars and impact players. The Lightning average 3.23 goals per game thanks to their electrifying intensity. They have five players this season who have accounted for 30 or more points. Among them is forward Brandon Hagel, who has accounted for 30 points with ten of them being goals and 20 being assists.

The Lightning are taking on a Minnesota Wild defense that has been inconsistent through most of the season. The Wild are allowing 3.17 goals per game and have shown vulnerability against fast, explosive offenses like Tampa Bay. Hagel has a chance to relieve pressure from a top-heavy Lightning offense.

Seattle Kraken vs. Ottawa Senators

My Pick – Oliver Bjorkstrand to Account for Over 0.5 Points (-110) at DraftKings

The Seattle Kraken are a team that is on fire as they're coming off a five-game winning streak and a huge 3-0 win over the Vegas Golden Knights in this 1024 winter classic. On Thursday night, the cracking will host the Ottawa Senators who are seeking a serious upset.

The Kraken need several of their star players, including forward Oliver Bjorkstrand must withhold a Senators team that is getting better. Bjorkstrand has accounted for a point in five of the last eight games.

The last time these two teams met this season, the Senators defeated the Kraken with a 2-0 score. Ottawa possesses one of the worst defenses in the league as they allow an average of 3.58 goals per game, 29th in the NHL. Bjorkstrand, who has accounted for 29 points with 11 being goals and 18 being assists, has a great opportunity to account for a significant game and get revenge on the Senators.
