Best NHL Prop Bets Today January 15

This Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a special Holiday in the United States. There are going to be several games in the NHL to watch early in the day as a result of many workers being home. This Monday is going to be a great opportunity for casual NHL fans and sports bettors to potentially earn winnings through sportsbooks on player props.

Here are our favorite NHL player prop picks for Monday.

The following odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook, where the NHL Prop Bets can be made. Check out the best NHL bonuses and promo codes for more betting opportunities.

Vancouver Canucks vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

My Pick – Quinn Hughes to Account for Over 0.5 Assists (-135) at DraftKings

The Vancouver Canucks are on a roll as they are currently on a five-game winning streak and are highly likely to keep that streak going. The Canucks are set to finish their seven-game Eastern Conference road trip on Monday as they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Canucks are ranked first in the league in goals per game (3.84) thanks to a dynamic set of stars from all across the ice. Among the stars that are going to be a force on the ice is defender Quinn Hughes. In 43 games played this season, Hughes has accumulated 51 points, with 11 of the goals and 40 of them being a team-high in assists.

Vancouver is taking on a Columbus Blue Jackets team that has overtaken the Chicago Blackhawks and the Ottawa Senators as the second-worst defense in the league. The Blue Jackets allow an average of 3.74 goals per game. This game is a great chance for Hughes to add his presence on the offensive end of the ice for a high-power Canucks.

New Jersey Devils vs. Boston Bruins

My Pick – Erik Haula to Account for Over 0.5 Points (+105) at DraftKings

The New Jersey Devils are a team that has battled through a lot of adversity through this early portion of the season. One of the biggest battles is losing star center Jack Hughes to two separate upper body injuries.

Since the second injury on January 5, the Devils have lost two of the last three games. They have also battled tough opponents and will face another on the road on Monday versus the Boston Bruins.

The Bruins are coming into this game with the fifth-ranked scoring defense (2.69 goals allowed per game). This will be a tough task for New Jersey, who is averaging 3.55 goals per game (fifth in the league), with most of the impact from Hughes.

One player who has stepped up in the absence of Hughes is forward Erik Haula. In the last three games, Haula has accounted for four points with two of them being goals. This game is going to be a tall task for Haula to provide an impact for the Devils against a high-powered defense of the Bruins, but they will have no choice but to keep going with him.

New York Islanders vs. Minnesota Wild

My Pick – Noah Dobson to Account for Over 0.5 Points (-145) at DraftKings

One of the best overall bets of the Monday slate in the NHL is the matchup between the New York Islanders at the Minnesota Wild. This game has great value for not only moneyline but also for player props.

DraftKings has the Wild as the favorites despite underperforming in several of the last couple of matchups. This will create great value for the players of the Islanders for betting opportunities.

A player who could be a serious problem for the Wild tonight is Islanders defender Noah Dobson. In six games played, Dobson has accumulated eight points in four of the games played. Dobson accounted for four assists in the 4-3 overtime win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. In the following game, he accounted for an assist.

The defense for the Wild has given up four or more goals. The Islanders should have a great opportunity to score numerous goals, with Dobson having a big game.
