Best NHL Prop Bets Today January 19

This Friday should be a great opportunity to see some great value through a player’s performances against bad defenses. Tonight’s games will be a chance for casual NHL fans and sports bettors to potentially earn winnings through sportsbooks on player props.

Here are our favorite NHL player prop picks for Friday.

The following odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook, where the NHL Prop Bets can be made. Check out the best NHL bonuses and promo codes for more betting opportunities.

New Jersey Devils vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

My Pick – Johnny Gaudreau Account for Over 0.5 Points (-125)

One of the most anticipated highest-scoring games off Friday night is set for the Metropolitan Divisional matchup between the New Jersey Devils at the Columbus Blue Jackets. Columbus is a team that is looking to continue their rise in offensive production. The Blue Jackets are 21st in the league in goals per game (3.0).

Forward Johnny Gaudreau is finally playing to a high level he was brought on to be for the Blue Jackets.  In 44 games this season, he has accounted for 20 total points, with seven of them coming from goals and 21 from assists.

He has had a slow start to January but has scored three goals in the last two games, including two assists in the 4-3 shootout win over the Vancouver Canucks. The Devils possess the 28th in the league in goals allowed per game (3.48). Gaudreau has a chance to continue his impressive run.

New York Islanders vs. Chicago Blackhawks

My Pick – Matthew Barzal Account for Over 1.5 Points (+180)

One of the few Eastern Conference versus Western Conference matchups on Friday night will be set between the New York Islanders going on the road to take on the Chicago Blackhawks. The Islanders should have a great opportunity to account for a high-scoring game against the Blackhawks, who played the night before.

The Blackhawks are allowing an average of 3.58 goals per game, 29th in the league. They are a defense that has been surfing up and down among the least efficient defenses in the league throughout the season.

Islanders center Matthew Barzal is the most productive player on the ice for New York. In 43 games played, he has accounted for 45 total points, with 12 being goals and 33 being assists. Barzal is looking to bounce back from three lackluster performances from a team perspective. The game against the Blackhawks should be a great opportunity to get an efficient performance defensively.
