Carolina Hurricanes vs. Boston Bruins
My Pick – David Pastrnak Account for Over 0.5 Assists (-150)
The top game of the night in the NHL is the Eastern Conference battle between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Boston Bruins. The Bruins are coming into this game with a more efficient offense and a more stout defense, but that doesn't stop the Hurricanes from attempting to stop the Bruins in their stadium. They have the defense to do it, as they allow an average of 3.02 goals per game and have played up to the competition.
Bruins center David Pastrnak continues to be one of the most productive players in the league. In 46 games played, he has accounted for 67 total points, with 30 of them being goals and 37 being assists. Pastrnak has accounted for an assist in four of the last five games, as he is on a serious hot streak in setting up shots for his teammates. Look for him to continue that trend against a good Hurricanes defense.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Seattle Kraken
My Pick – Oliver Bjorkstrand Account for Over 0.5 Points (-150)
In the second nationally televised game of the night, the Chicago Blackhawks go on the road to take on the Seattle Kraken in a Western Conference battle. The Blackhawks have found some life as they have won two of the last four games without star rookie center Connor Bedard. Seattle revitalized their season with a nine-game winning streak but afterward lost four consecutive games to tough playoff-caliber teams.
A combination of bad offense and bad defense was the reason for the Kraken’s recent downfall. Seattle will attempt to regain that composure against a Blackhawks team they previously defeated with a 7-1 score at home on December 14.
In that game, Kraken center Oliver Bjorkstrand accounted for a goal and two assists. He has accounted for a goal or an assist in five of the last seven games played.
With the offense running through him as the Kraken takes on a Blackhawks defense that ranks 29th in the league in goals allowed per game (3.53), there is a great chance that Bjorkstrand has a big game and leads his team back to victory.
