Best NHL Prop Bets Today March 1

The final day of the week is set for games that will have a bigger impact on the sports betting business than the postseason race. There are bets that will have great opportunities for fans and casual bettors to make some serious money.

Here are our favorite NHL player prop picks for Friday.

The following odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook, where NHL Prop Bets can be made. Check out the best NHL bonuses and promo codes for more betting opportunities.

Arizona Coyotes vs. Ottawa Senators

My Pick – Shane Pinto to Account for Over 0.5 Points (-110) at DraftKings

One of the earlier games of the night is set as the Ottawa Senators host the Arizona Diamondbacks. This is a game that has more value in the sports betting field than it will in the race for the postseason. Both teams are under .500%, but the Coyotes are in much worse shape.

The Coyotes are coming into this game with the 14th consecutive game losing. Ottawa is coming into the game with an offense that is ranked 11th in the league in goals per game (3.3) thanks to stellar plays from key players.

One player that the Senators should rely on to get a stable offense rolling is center Shane Pinto. Since the NHL All-Star Break, Pinto has been one of the most surprising stars for the Senators. In 10 games played since the break, Pinto has accounted for 10 points with seven of them being assists.

The Coyotes possess a defense that is ranked 23rd in the league in goals allowed per game (3.31) and has been getting worse.

Philadelphia Flyers vs. Washington Capitals

My Pick – Scott Laughton to Account for Over 0.5 Points (+110) at DraftKings

The biggest game of the night might be the only game that has an impact on the postseason as the Philadelphia Flyers go on the road to take on the Washington Capitals. This game has a lot of value in the sports betting field with player props.

A team to trust are the Philadelphia Flyers as they are hot while the Capitals are not. Washington’s defense was among the top defenses in the league. Over the course of the season, the Capitals have become a lot less efficient. Washington's defense allows an average of 3.14 goals per game, 19th in the league.

The Flyers have a chance to catch the Capitals at a bad time to secure some more great scoring positions. One player to get the scoring rolling is Scott Laughton, who has been one of the best players for the Flyers during the second half of the season.

In 10 games played, Laughton has accounted for 10 points with six assists. He has accounted for a goal or an assist in six of the last seven games for the Flyers. This prop bet for Laughton having a contribution is the best bet to make today.
