Best NHL Prop Bets Today March 21

Tonight is going to bring another set of exciting matchups in the NHL. Most of the best bets to be made tonight are coming from the player props. All bets that are being highlighted tonight featured great-to-elite players that will face some of the most underwhelming defenses this NHL Season. Look for some of these players to have great and explosive performances with the lines brought to you from DraftKings.

Here are our favorite NHL player prop picks for Thursday.

The following odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook, where NHL Prop Bets can be made. Check out the best NHL bonuses and promo codes for more betting opportunities!

Winnipeg Jets vs. New Jersey Devils

One of the closest projected games of the night is surprisingly for a cross-conference matchup between the Winnipeg Jets at the New Jersey Devils. The Jets have the momentum and the top-ranked scoring defense, but the Devils have the home court and the high-flying offense.

The Jets, while not as electric as the Devils, are still efficient as they average 3.15 goals per game (15th in the league). One big reason for the Jets success this season on both sides of the ice is center Mark Scheifele. In nine games played this March, Scheifele accounted for five goals and five assists.

He has accounted for a goal or an assist in each of the last four games, with the last game being a three-goal performance against the New York Rangers.

The Jets are taking on a Devils defense that has allowed an average of 3.43 goals per game (27th in the league). Scheifele should be able to continue the solid consistency he has established in tonight's game.

St. Louis Blues vs. Ottawa Senators

Potentially the best player prop of the night will be in the cross-conference matchup between the St. Louis Blues and the Ottawa Senators. The Blues are attempting to make one last run for a Western Conference playoff spot, so every game counts.

For the Blues, they are relying on several role players to get their team rolling along. One player that has been efficient in March is defender Justin Faulk. In the last five games for the Blues, Faulk has accounted for six assists with the last two games accounting for two assists each.

The Blues have won four of the last five games because of the impact of players like Faulk. St. Louis will be facing off against the Ottawa Senators defense that ranks 28th in the league in goals allowed per game (3.57). This game should be a great opportunity for players like Faulk to continue the success of the Blues and account for more solid wins late in the season.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. San Jose Sharks

Potentially, the most mismatched game of the night is set as the Tampa Bay Lightning go on the road to take on the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks are coming into this game with the worst-ranked scoring defense in the league by allowing an average of 3.99 goals per game. Within the last four games, the Sharks have given up a total of 23 goals with eight coming from the 8-2 road loss to the Nashville Predators this past Tuesday.

The Lightning are coming into this game with the sixth-ranked scoring offense in the league (3.49) and the most explosive player in the league in forward Nikita Kucherov. He has accumulated 118 total points this season with 77 being assists.

He has accounted for two or more points in each of the last three games, totaling 11 points. If Kucherov doesn’t take the game off physically or mentally, he should have no problem accounting for a big performance again tonight.
