The following are some of our favorite WNBA player props and best bets for each of today's contests.
Location: Capital One Arena in Washington D.C.
Game Time & Date: 11:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, July 16
Coverage: MNMT
Point Spread: Mercury -4 (at FanDuel Sportsbook)
OVER 30.5 Pts + Reb + Ast
Copper's jets were cooled down by the Sun on Sunday as Connecticut held her to just 17 points. She had been averaging close to 30 ppg in July. But when your team gets hit hard by injuries, and you are playing the best defense in the league, it will be hard to score points.
Washington's defense is not one of the best in the league. No, it is one of the worst (85 ppg allowed over their last five, tenth best). They will not slow Copper down, as the Mercury guard has a big night against a poor defense.
She can't be counted on for a great number of rebounds or assists, but if she has the kind of night we expect her to have, she will not need many to exceed the total for this combo.
Atkins is averaging 15.9 ppg this season. However, with the roster being hit hard by injuries, she has shouldered more of the scoring burden. She had 35 in a loss to the Aces on Sunday and 26 last Wednesday vs. the Fever in Indianapolis.
A short-handed roster makes it hard to play well, but it can also lead to someone having an exemplary performance, as one player picks up all/most of the slack.
Expect Atkins to be the focal point of the Mystics offense against a lackluster Phoenix defense. She will not go for 36 again, but she'll certainly score more than 16.5 points.

Point Spread: Storm -8.5 (at FanDuel Sportsbook)
To Record 4+ Rebounds at +102
Loyd scored 14 in each of her last two games and has scored 20.5+ in three of six games this month. She'll benefit from playing a Sparks team that has allowed 87.1 ppg over their last ten. When the Storm hosted Phoenix earlier in the month, Loyd scored 21 on the Mercury.
As long as she gets 30+ minutes on the floor and double-digit shot attempts, Loyd will clear 20.5 points.
As for her rebound numbers, she does not pull down many boards, averaging 4.6 per game. But she has had five in each of her last three games. At +102 odds, this prop has value.
Hamby has been having a nice run the last couple of weeks. She has led the Sparks in scoring in six of their last seven games and scored 20+ points in five of those contests. However, when these teams met in Seattle on June 11, she recorded a double-double but only 16 points.
The Storm has one of the better defenses in the league, allowing 75.5 ppg over their last five games. They will not outright stop Hamby, but they'll keep her in check and below 20 points on the night.

Point Spread: Liberty -4.5 (at FanDuel Sportsbook)
UNDER 20.5 Pts + Reb at -118
UNDER 28.5 Pts + Reb + Ast at -125
The break is coming at the right time for Thomas as she has struggled somewhat on the stat sheet in her last three games with single-digit totals for points, rebounds, and assists. She just had a 3/9/8 night against the Liberty last Wednesday (but also had a 10/12/7 line on
While she is certainly capable of finishing all three combos, New York's top-notch defense will keep her stat line in check, given how she's been playing lately.
Ionescu seems to go one way or the other when it comes to three-point shooting. She'll have a solid day with 4+ made shots in a game, or she'll just hit one or two. In seven of her last 11 games, Ionescu made 4+ three-pointers.
But she made just one vs. the Sun in that sample and two against them earlier in the year. Injuries to other players could put the ball in her hands a lot more, but Connecticut's defense will keep her from getting more than a couple of three-pointers on the night.

Point Spread: Aces -13.5 (at FanDuel Sportsbook)
OVER 13.5 Rebounds at +104
OVER 26.5 Pts + Reb at -108
Her season average of 13.5 ppg is something she has not gone over in over a week and has been in just two of six games this month. While the Aces are playing better defense of late, their best defense is still their offense, which has averaged 90.8 ppg over their last ten.
So, if she does not go over 13.5 before the Aces have the game in hand, she'll do so in garbage time.
A rebound total of 13.5 is pretty ambitious and would be downright laughable for most players, but not Reese. While she is averaging 12 per game, she's had 13.5+ in five of her last ten. It's asking for a lot, but she is capable, and the plus-money odds give it value.
She'll go over the combo total if she goes over her points and rebound totals. When the Sky and Aces played earlier in the year, she had 18 points and 11 rebounds.
OVER 12.5 Rebounds at +106
Wilson has scored 28+ points in five of her last seven games; against Chicago on June 27, she had 31. She is the most prolific scoring threat in the WNBA, and the Sky's defense is not up to the task of slowing her down, let alone stopping her. She'll clear 28+ points in this game.
It is almost amazing that her rebounding total is just 12.5. Yes, that is more than her season average (11.9), but she has recorded 17+ in her last three games. At the least, you'd think the over would have minus-money odds, but it doesn't. With +106 odds, this prop has a ton of value.
