Welcome to the Premier League Swansea City
Published by adam | Filed under Football (aka soccer), Photos, Premier League

Swansea City A.F.C. is finally back in the Premier League after 30 years with their 4-2 win over Reading. The club will go down in the history books as the first Welsh club to join the ranks of the Premier League. Just ten years ago, the club was sold for £1. Yes, you read that right. £1. Two years later Swansea was fighting relegation out of the Football League altogether.
Anyways, after an extraordinary season the Jacks have found themselves in England’s top flight. Manager Brendan Rodgers led his squad to beat Reading in the ‘£90 million game’ through a hat trick of penalties from leading scorer Scott Sinclair (27 goals). Reading fans and players, on the other hand, were left gutted.
The Parade tonight will feature thousands of Swansea supporters in the streets ready to cheer on their team against the likes of superpowers United, Chelsea, and Arsenal.
If you are wondering, the players wore shirts to honor former Austrian teammate and striker Besian Idrizaj who died of a heart attack at age 22. Go Swans.
