Justin Verlander is set to make his 2023 MLB Season debut after a strained muscle in his throwing that sidelined him for the month of April. Verlander will start against the struggling Tigers, which will be an easy transition to the season.
His addition to the Mets could be what gives the team the jolt to get back on a winning streak after starting the season 14-7 but losing eight of the last ten games. The Mets have lost their two games against the Tigers.
In each of the last three season debuts for Verlander, he has thrown for seven or more strikeouts. The Tigers rank 12th in the league in strikeouts this season with 282. There might be doubt of the health of Verlander and the Mets, but there is no doubt the Tigers could easily struggle at the plate.

Shohei Ohtani has been the saving grace for the Los Angeles Angels this season, especially from the mound. In Thursday’s last road game against the St. Louis Cardinals, it will be Ohtanti’s stellar play at the plate that will be put up to the test.
Ohtani is tasked to record one hit in the game against the Cardinals as he is projected to have more winnings to record one hit over teammates Mike Trout and Hunter Renfroe. This bet should be an instant pickup for several reasons.
Ohtani leads the Angels in hits accounted for this season at 35. He has recorded a hit in 22 of the 29 games played behind the plate. On Wednesday against the Cardinals, Ohtani accounted for three hits. Finally, St. Louis is ranked 14th in the NL in hits allowed this season (283).

The Chicago White Sox have been a disaster within the past couple of weeks. Surprisingly, they are on a three-game win streak which includes a 12-9 home win over the Tampa Bay Rays and two wins in the series against the Minnesota Twins.
The Twins have to feel like they could have done more to avoid those two losses to the White Sox in the last two days. This Thursday, the Twins will start Pablo Lopez (4.00 ERA in 36 innings). While Lopez has not been elite for Minnesota, he has accounted for a team-high 46 strikeouts this season.
Chicago has struck out six or more times in the last 13 games, including eight each in the last two days against Minnesota. The Twins will certainly want revenge over the last two days against the White Sox and it will start at the mound with Lopez.

The Atlanta Braves are on a solid streak of productivity with their biggest stars including second baseman Ozzie Albies. They will face a Miami Marlins team that has struggled in the pitching game this season.
Miami ranks 11th in the NL in ERA (4.78), eighth in hits allowed (265) and 14th in home runs allowed (43). There is a solid chance that Albies will help get his teammates home by either creating solid ground balls or home runs. Albies leads the team in home runs accounted for with nine and RBIs accounted for (26).
In the two games against the Marlins, Albies has accounted for three RBIs and two home runs.

This bet might look like one of the easier picks to place as the Toronto Blue Jays are a solid-hitting team. There are certainly better hitters than Blue Jays centerfielder Kevin Kiermaier, but he is a player that has developed a good streak so far.
Through 26 games played this season, Kiermaier has accounted for 23 hits, but he has recorded three hits in the last two games in the road series against the Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox are ranked 12th in the AL in hits allowed for this season (282).
Boston will start Brayan Bello (6.57 ERA in 12.1 innings), who has allowed 18 hits in his limited time this season. Kiermaier accounting for one hit is one of the most solid picks today.
Prop Betting is another way to place bets on statistics that do not fully affect the outcome of the game or go off the score. Prop Bets include a player’s likelihood of a home run, capability to get an RBI or range of how many strikeouts a pitcher is going to have.
Several different Sportsbooks allow users the chance to place bets on events and stats not directed to the score of the game. Two of the most popular sportsbooks for Player Props include FanDuel and Caesars Sportsbook.
There are an unlimited amount of reasons to place a bet on a game. Many users may use stats and info, others may use which starting lineup they feel is the most efficient, and finally, others are just into a game betting on their gut instinct.
There isn’t a right or wrong answer as the best information could be wrong after an outcome. WSN is home to daily MLB Prop bets, which can be used as a measure to help persuade or finalize a player’s willingness to place a bet on one aspect of a game to another.
Each MLB Prop bet has a distinctive purpose and different players feel one bet is more important than another. Two of the most popular Prop bets from other users are home runs accounted for and the number of strikeouts thrown.
