On Thursday, the National League Cy Young award front-runner takes the mound for the Braves in Chris Sale. He squares off against Julian Aguiar and the Reds, and we are taking the NRFI.
We are also taking the NRFI in the Yankees vs. Mariners matchup. Clarke Schmidt will pitch against Logan Gilbert, and we expect limited runs in this game.
We are taking both of these wagers on bet365 Sportsbook, one of the best sportsbooks for MLB betting. As a special offer, bet365 gives new users a $1,000 safety net bet or $200 in bonus bets. Don't forget to use our promo code WSN365.

Atlanta enters this matchup at 82-70 in third place in the NL East, while Cincinnati is 74-79 in fourth place in the NL Central.
Chris Sale, the best pitcher in the National League in 2024, gets the start for the Braves. He is an outstanding 17-3 with an ERA of 2.35 and a 1.00 WHIP. Sale is the front-runner to win the NL Cy Young award at FanDuel sportsbook.
The Reds are going with Julian Aguiar, who is 2-0 with a 4.88 ERA in 2024. He has struck out 15 batters in 27.2 innings and has a 1.23 WHIP. If Aguiar limits the walks in this contest, he and Sale should have no problem cashing this NRFI wager.
When looking at the strikeout numbers in 2024, Sale has fanned 219 batters in 172.2 innings. This is the third most strikeouts in the league this season. We expect Sale to continue this dominance into Thursday.
Regarding the offenses, both rank in the middle to the bottom of the league regarding team batting average. Atlanta is hitting .240, while Cincinnati is hitting .233 as a team.
With the offenses being mediocre and these starting pitchers on the hill, we trust the arms to bring home this winner in the first inning.

New York comes into this matchup at 88-63 leading the AL East by 4.5 games over Baltimore. Seattle is 77-74 trailing Houston by 4.5 games in the AL West.
The Yankees are starting Clarke Schmidt who is 5-3 with a 2.41 ERA this season. He has struck out 74 batters in 71 innings and has a 1.13 WHIP. In Schmidt’s last three starts he has allowed three runs in 15.1 innings, and we expect him to continue this dominance on Thursday.
Logan Gilbert, who is 7-11 with an ERA of 3.24, takes the mound for the Mariners. He has fanned 198 batters in 191.2 innings while maintaining a 0.89 WHIP, which is key when taking an NRFI wager.
The Yankees have posted a great season on offense hitting .250 as a team which is the ninth best. Aaron Judge is hitting .323 this season to go with 53 home runs and 136 RBIs. He has been the best offensive player in baseball this year, but faces a good arm in Gilbert.
The Mariners have been lost at the plate this season hitting .222 as a team which is last in baseball. Things will not get easier against Schmidt on Thursday because they can’t seem to find any rhythm.
We are taking the NRFI in this game because we trust both starting pitchers to go deep into the contest and keep runs off the scoreboard.
