The 2023-24 NBA regular season has tipped off, and after an exciting opening night, 24 teams are slated to begin their season on Wednesday night! We've found our favorite Over/Under picks for the evening's matchups for the NBA's Wednesday slate of games!

In the Eastern Conference, historical rivals the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks open the season at Madison Square Garden. On the other side of the East River, the Brooklyn Nets play host to the Cleveland Cavaliers!

In the Western Conference, last year's Pacific Division Champion Sacramento Kings hosted the upstart Utah Jazz. At the same time, a rising team in the Portland Trail Blazers takes on an established unit in the LA Clippers.

Top scorer Jayson Tatum performed slightly below standard against the Knicks, averaging 28.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists on 41.8% from the field and 32.6% from three.

The New York Knicks had a 46-45-2 O/U record, a 50.6% success rate, with a +2.7 differential. New York posted an average game points total of 229.1 through the regular season. Star man Julius Randle was excellent against the Celtics last season, averaging 30.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 4.0 threes per game on 50.0% from the field and 38.1% from three.

In four meetings last season, the Celtics and Knicks cleared 225.5 three times. New York won the series 3-1.

Last season, the Cleveland Cavaliers had an O/U record of 40-47-0, 26th in the NBA, with a success rate of 46.0%. Their average game points total was 219.2 per game due to employing the league’s best defense. Top scorer Donovan Mitchell performed below average with 25.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game on 41.9% from the field and 40.7% from three against the Nets last season.

The Brooklyn Nets posted an O/U record of 38-47-1 last season, a 44.7% success rate. Through the regular season, they had an average game points total of 225.9 per game. In four games against the Cavaliers last season, top performer Mikal Bridges averaged 18.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists - two of those matches came as a member of the Phoenix Suns.

The Cavaliers were 2-1 against the Nets last season, with the teams clearing 220.5 in all three matches.

Despite their offensive potency last season, the Sacramento Kings had an O/U record of 43-45-1 - 22nd in the league. Their average combined points total was 238.8 points per game due to having the league’s top offense. Top scorer De’Aaron Fox was at his best in three games against the Jazz last season, averaging 32.7 points, 7.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds on 58.2% from the field and 42.1% from three.

The Utah Jazz were one of the league’s most offensively-oriented teams last season, posting an O/U record of 47-33-2 - a 58.8% success rate and the best in the NBA. Their average combined points total per game was 225.1. Their top scorer, Lauri Markkanen, averaged 32.0 points and 6.5 rebounds on 56.4% from the field in two games against the Kings.

The Kings were 3-1 against the Jazz last season, clearing 238.0 in two of those matches.

The Portland Trail Blazers have a new look this season, so draw what you can from their 40-40-2 Over/Under record last season. They averaged 230.8 combined points per game but entered 2023-24 without their top scorer from last season. Last year's second-leading scorer for the Blazers, Anfernee Simons, averaged 26.5 points, 5.0 assists, and 2.5 rebounds against the LA Clippers.

As usual, the LA Clippers struggled with injury last season, posting an Over/Under record of 43-43-1 - a 50.0% success rate. They averaged a combined 226.7 points per game, with their top two players missing 56 games combined. Star man Kawhi Leonard played two games against the Trail Blazers last season, averaging 25.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists on 45.9% from the floor and 33.3% from three.

The Trail Blazers lost all three matches against the Clippers last season, clearing 228.0 in two of those games.
