The Bears did not score an offensive touchdown last week
Caleb Willams completed 48% of his passes for 93 yards against the Titans
Joe Mixon rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown in his debut with Houston
This edition of Sunday Night Football features a thrilling matchup between young and hungry teams: the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans. The Texans enter as the better team, but the Bears' defense impressed in week one, setting up a thrilling prime-time matchup.
If you want to wager on this Sunday Night Football matchup, we have you covered. Below, we’ll share our favorite Same Game Parlay for this matchup. This is our favorite bet for the entire weekend for a couple of reasons. The first is that the Bears' defense isn’t as good as their Week 1 stats show. They faced a bad Titans team and took advantage of them, but the Texans will be a far more challenging test. While Chicago has some defensive talent, their poor offense will limit what they can do, especially when facing a team as talented at the Texans.
The other reason we love this bet is Caleb Williams. The rookie was a nightmare last week against a subpar Tennesee offense. He struggled despite the amount of weapons the Bears put around him, which is a major red flag. While some of that can be chalked up to first-game jitters, don’t expect him to fare any better against a fierce Texans defense this weekend.

Things went about as poorly as possible for Caleb Williams in Week 1. He completed 48% of his passes for 93 yards, averaging a minuscule 3.2 yards per pass. His success only came on short passes, which would have led to a stunning home loss if not for the team’s defensive and special teams touchdowns.
The Texans' secondary is impressive, but we expect Danielle Hunter to be the source of the rookie’s problems on Sunday. He is one of the best pass rushers in the league and will be able to generate plenty of pressure on Williams. While that may not result in sacks, it will force the young quarterback into making more bad decisions this week.

We loved what we saw from Joe Mixon in Week 1. He went for 159 yards and a touchdown, marking his best performance since November 2022. He looked like his old self behind an impressive Houston offensive line, benefiting from Stroud and the upgraded Houston passing attack.
We believe in Mixon’s success because the Bengals' run game struggled in Week 1. Mixon is coming off a couple of rough seasons, during which some believed he may be past his prime, but it appears the Bengals' offense was more to blame.
The Bears defense did poorly against the Titans’ run game last week. They allowed Tony Pollard and the Titans to run for 140 yards and a touchdown, averaging 5.4 YPC. Mixon and the Texans have a far better run attack which will lead to another ugly showing from Chicago’s poor run defense.
