After an unusual mid-season break for World Cup 2022, the Premier League resumes with seven matches on Boxing Day.
Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Newcastle United - three of the top four in the table as things stand - will take to the field on the day after Christmas.
Here our recommended prop bets - wagers which cover non-moneyline markets - for Monday’s action in the top flight of English soccer.
The odds for Boxing Day have been supplied by the DraftKings sportsbook, where up to $1250 in free bets are available.
Tottenham have played 15 Premier League games so far this season and have conceded the first goal in nine of them. On the plus side, Antonio Conte’s side have gained a division-high 13 points from losing positions. But falling behind so often is surely not sustainable.
Brentford had very few players at the World Cup, and none of those who flew out to Qatar played in the knockout stage. In front of their own fans, we expect Thomas Frank’s side to make a fast start - and perhaps even take the lead.
For many years Crystal Palace were better away from home than they were at Selhurst Park, largely because of their counter-attacking style of play. That has changed under Patrick Vieira. So far this season the Eagles are eighth in the home table and 11th in the away one.
Fulham have had an excellent start to the campaign but this will be a tough game for Marco Silva’s men, who are facing a side that has won each of its last three home games. Only three teams have conceded more goals than Fulham, so back Palace to score at least twice.
Newcastle are flying high in the Premier League and looked like genuine top-four contenders before the season broke off. There is still a long way to go but Eddie Howe’s side are defensively solid and possesses plenty of attacking options, a combination that bodes well for their prospects.
This will be a tough game, though. Leicester turned a corner in November and are one of the best teams outside the big six on their day. They could have some joy here, especially as Newcastle have failed to win a majority of their games on the road.
Arsenal are flying high at the top of the table, fueling hopes that they could win the Premier League title for the first time since 2004. A big part of their success to date is their defensive record: no team in the division has conceded fewer goals than the Gunners.
That bodes well for their Boxing Day clash with West Ham, who are averaging just 0.8 goals per game. It has been a tough season so far for David Moyes’ men, and we fancy Arsenal to keep a clean sheet on their way to another victory.
