Ufc Fight Night Volkov Vs Rozenstruik Picks

Alexander Volkov vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik Heavyweight Division

Alexander Volkov TALE OF THE TAPE Jairzinho Rozenstruik
33 Age 34
6 ft. 7 in. Height 6 ft. 2 in.
80 in. Reach 78 in.
34-10 Record 12-3

Both of these heavyweight fighters are 3-3 over their last six fights and both of them are coming off of a loss.

Alexander Volkov fought this past March, headlining a card against Tom Aspinall. However, Volkov was submitted in the first round with an armbar.

Jacinto Rozenstruik last fought in September 2021 and found himself on the losing end of a unanimous decision against Curtis Blaydes. Prior to that, he earned a TKO victory and performance bonus over Augusto Sakai.

Known for his kickboxing skills, Rozenstruik had a professional kickboxing record of 76-8-1 prior to joining the UFC.

Volkov holds brown belts in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Kyokushin karate as well as a black belt in Tsu Shin Gen. He will stand five inches taller than Rozenstruik and have a two-inch reach advantage.

Alexander Volkov is listed as -155 over Rozenstruik.

Dan Ige vs Movsar Evloev Featherweight Division

Dan Ige TALE OF THE TAPE Movsar Evloev
30 Age 28
5 ft. 7 in. Height 5 ft. 8 in.
71 in. Reach 72.5 in.
15-5 Record 15-0

Despite his black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, a brown belt in judo, and NCAA Division 3 wrestling credentials, Dan Ige has struggled as of late, going just 1-3 over his last four fights.

Ige has dropped back-to-back unanimous decision losses to the Korean Zombie and Josh Emmett.

His opponent, Movsar Evloev, is undefeated in the UFC and undefeated across his entire professional career. He last fought Hakeem Dawodu at UFC 263 and defeated him by unanimous decision last June.

Evloev also boasts a master of sport in Greco-Roman wrestling. He will have the slightest edge over Ige when it comes to height and reach and at -400, he is the largest betting favorite on the main card.

Michael Trinzano vs Lucas Almeida Featherweight Division

Michael Trinzano TALE OF THE TAPE Lucas Almeida
30 Age 31
5 ft. 11 in. Height 5 ft. 11 in.
73 in. Reach 71 in.
9-2 Record 13-1

Making his UFC debut this Saturday, Lucas Almeida actually lost his fight on the Contender Series last year via unanimous decision.

He last fought for Jungle Fight last November, winning his fight over Italo Trindade by first-round guillotine choke.

After winning the Ultimate Fight tournament in 2018, Michael Trinzano has gone just 3-2 with the promotion. His last fight took place this past February, where he lost via unanimous decision to Hakeem Dawodu.

Trinzano will have a two-inch reach advantage in this fight and is listed as -240 to go over the UFC newcomer.

Poliana Botelho vs Karine Silva Women’s Flyweight Division

Poliana Botelho TALE OF THE TAPE Karine Silva
33 Age 28
5 ft. 8 in. Height 5 ft. 5 in.
67 in. Reach 67 in.
8-4 Record 14-4

Hot off an appearance on the Contender Series, Karine Silva had won four-straight heading into the show. Once in the series, Silva fought Qihui Yan and won with a second-round guillotine choke.

This Saturday will be her UFC debut and her first fight of 2022.

Poliana Botelho has gone just 1-3 over her last four octagon appearances and is currently on a two-fight losing skid. She last fought in May 2021 – dropping a split decision to Luana Carolina.

These two women are equal in reach but Botelho will stand three inches taller. However, the debuting Silva is the -125 favorite to win.

Alonzo Menifield vs Askar Mozharov Light Heavyweight Division

Alonzo Menifield TALE OF THE TAPE Askar Mozharov
34 Age 27
6 ft. Height 6 ft. 3 in.
76 in. Reach N/A
11-3 Record 25-7

Riding a four-fight winning streak (that includes a bare-knuckle boxing match), Askar Mozharov had three fights canceled in 2021 and this Saturday night he will finally make his UFC debut.

Alonzo Menifield, an alum from the Contender Series, last fought against William Knight last December and was defeated by a unanimous decision. Prior to that, he had won back-to-back fights.

Mozharov is the younger fighter and he will also have a three-inch height advantage. However, at the time of writing, his official reach has not been reported.

However, with more UFC experience under his belt, Alonzo Menifield is listed as -155.

Felice Herrig vs Karolina Kowalkiewicz Women’s Strawweight Division

Felice Herrig TALE OF THE TAPE Karolina Kowalkiewicz
37 Age 36
5 ft. 4 in. Height 5 ft. 3 in.
65 in. Reach 64 in.
14-9 Record 12-7

Both of these strawweight fighters are looking to snap their losing streaks this Saturday.

Felice Herrig is currently on a three-fight losing streak that began with a loss to her opponent this weekend: Karolina Kowalkiewicz. Herrig hasn’t fought since UFC 252 in 2020 – losing via armbar to Virna Jandiroba in the first round.

Kowalkiewicz, a former title challenger, now finds herself on a five-fight losing streak. She last fought at UFC 265 last August and lost to Jessica Penne – coincidentally enough also by first-round armbar.

Herrig will have a one-inch height and one-inch reach advantage over her opponent but Kowlakiewicz has beaten Herrig before.

We like Kowalkiewicz at +105.
