Rafa Guarantees Liverpool Top 4 Finish: Quote of the Week
Published by adam | Filed under Football (aka soccer), Miscellaneous
Well Rafa has just about outdone himself. Despite loosing more games than in the last 2 seasons combined, Liverpool coach Rafa Benitez still has the utmost faith in his club.

“Every game for us is a game that we have to win. Our mentality is to win every game; sometimes you can, sometimes you cannot but you cannot be negative…
You have to think of the positive and I am really positive. How can I change things? By working harder and doing my best every day…
The players are doing the same and we are working together. I can guarantee that we will finish in the top four.”
Well, as a casual Liverpool supporter, this is all the clarification that I needed. In an “I don’t even want to talk about it” first half of the season, Liverpool just cannot find a way out of their slump. Despite dominating much of the Arsenal game, Liverpool’s luck turned for the worst with Glen Johnson’s own goal. The devastation was terribly noticeable in the faces of Liverpool players and supporters. Then, Arshavin again added insult to injury. Remember last year?

The Reds currently find themselves in the laughable 8th spot of the Premiership battling the likes of Birmingham City, Manchester City, and Fulham. See Premiership rankings here.
However, after seeing the next 5 games for Liverpool, if they can take care of business, they can absolutely make a jump in the rankings.
