Sergio Ramos lifts the Cup and Sergio Ramos drops the Cup (Video)
Published by adam | Filed under Football (aka soccer), La Liga, Video

Real Madrid’s 1-0 Copa del Rey win over Barcelona at the Mestalla marked the first time Real had won the Spanish Cup since 1993. While Real Madrid players were out enjoying late-night celebrations at the Plaza de Cibeles, Sergio Ramos fumbles and dropped the Copa del Rey off of the double-decker bus. The bus proceeded to run over and drag the cup for a little ways. Well Sir Ramos, you made a disaster. You broke the cup that your team worked so hard to win.
We are not quite sure whether the fact that it was raining or the fact that it was 4:15 AM had anything to do with this tragedy. Three questions: how much champagne did you drink out of that cup, Sergio? Did the bus driver even realize the cup fell right in front of his face? And finally, at what time did the parade even start?
Well done Ramos. Well done. It is almost as if Ramos was like, “well, there’s no room up here, and I am f#$king tired of holding this thing. Maybe no one will notice…”
Here is a shot of the cup before Ramos got his hands on it. That’s how you hold it.
¡Hala Madrid!
