The Cubs take on the Orioles in a matchup featuring Shota Imanaga and Corbin Burnes. Chicago is 42-49 in last place in the NL Central. Baltimore has put together a great season in 2024 at 57-33 leading the AL East by three games.
Shota Imanaga will take the mound for the Cubs who is having an impressive first year in Major League Baseball. He is 7-2 with a 3.16 ERA and has a WHIP of 1.11. In road games, Imanaga has been dominant as he is 4-1 with a 2.88 ERA.
The Orioles are going with Corbin Burnes who is +230 to win the AL Cy Young on FanDuel Sportsbook. He is 9-3 with a 2.32 ERA and has struck out 105 batters in 112.2 innings.
Look for both offenses to struggle in this matchup against two of the best pitchers in 2024.
We expect Imanaga to shut down one of the best offenses in baseball, and for Burnes to continue to do what he has been doing all year.
Bet on Under 8.5 (-110) at FanDuel
The Royals take on the Cardinals for the second game of a double-header in this matchup. Kansas City is 49-43 in third place in the AL Central trailing the Guardians by 8.5 games. St. Louis is 48-42 trailing only Milwaukee in the NL Central.
The Royals are going with Michael Wacha who is 5-6 with a 3.74 ERA. He has struck out 75 batters in 84.1 innings and has a 1.22 WHIP.
Wacha is coming off a six-inning performance against Tampa Bay allowing one run on two hits and three walks.
Sonny Gray takes the mound for the Cardinals who is 9-5 with a 3.30 ERA in 2024. He has 115 strikeouts in 92.2 innings, which ranks in the top 15 in the league. Gray has been outstanding at getting ahead in the count and putting hitters away.
St Louis has been one of the hottest teams in baseball, and we don’t expect them to slow down. Look for Gray to go deep into this game and for Paul Goldschmidt to stay hot at the plate.
Bet on Cardinals ML (-156) at FanDuel
To close out our parlay we’re taking the Giants moneyline against the Blue Jays. Toronto is 41-49 in last place in the AL East. San Francisco is 44-47 trailing the Dodgers by 10.5 games in the NL West.
The Blue Jays are starting Chris Bassitt who is 7-7 with a 3.43 ERA. He has struck out 94 batters in 102.1 innings and is coming off a five-inning performance allowing four runs on eight hits against Houston.
Logan Webb toes the rubber for the Giants and he is 7-6 with a 3.09 ERA. He has been very impressive at home in 2024 as he is 4-2 with a 2.13 ERA.
Look for Bassitt to walk a few hitters and find himself in trouble early in this game. We expect the Giants to take advantage of this and get a quality start from Webb at home to cash our parlay.
