It was tempting to make this a home run prop, as Ward has +600 odds to go deep. But with +200 odds for multiple bases, that’s great value too. Ward is 2 for 3 in his career against Pittsburgh starter Mitch Keller, who owns a 5.18 ERA and has allowed at least four runs in four of his seven starts. Keller has had some bad games against weak offensive teams, so he's been quite bad. Plus, Ward has been good all season with seven homers and seven doubles. He’s collected multiple bases in five of his last eight games. Against Keller and the Pirates, we like his chances of that trend continuing.

Needless to say, it’s wise to target Wood and his 6.32 ERA to allow at least three earned runs in a game at even odds. In his defense, he’s allowed two runs or less in back-to-back games. But we’re not buying that as a trend that will continue. Wood has a questionable track record against several members of the Rangers. The Texas lineup has some heavy hitters in it. While the Rangers have been inconsistent lately, they should be able to do some damage against a pitcher like Wood.
Semien is one of those hitters who has had success against Wood in the past. He’s 4 for 9 with a double and a triple against the lefty. This is a favorable matchup for him and a chance for Semien to unleash some of his power. He went 4 for 15 with a double over the weekend and should have a chance to keep it going on Monday. With eight doubles and five homers on the season, Semien is capable of an extra-base hit. But he also has 11 multi-hit games in 2024, so that’s another way he can get over 1.5 total bases.

Pages is the latest hitting talent to come out of the Dodgers farm system. The 23-year-old has hit the ground running, batting .319 with four homers and 12 RBI in just 17 games. Despite going hitless on Sunday, Pages had a 10-game hitting streak prior to that. He also has 22 total hits in his 17 games. Soon enough, oddsmakers will catch on and won’t give him -150 odds to get one hit. Before that happens, we might as well target him and cash in on his fast start in the big leagues.
Ohtani and the Dodgers are facing young Miami starter Roddery Munoz on Monday. While Munoz has been impressive in his first two starts in the big leagues, facing the Dodgers could be different. Ohtani, meanwhile, has been the hottest hitter in the Los Angeles lineup over the past week. He’s 11 for 21 with three homers and seven RBI over his last five games. He’s poised to do some damage after collecting eight hits and six RBI during the team's three-game sweep of the Braves over the weekend. With Ohtani getting an RBI still at plus odds, we’ll take our chances that the reigning MVP stays hot.
