The Cy Young race is heating up in both leagues, and a few pitchers in early contention for the award will toe the rubber on Tuesday. We have identified a few games where the NRFI price is a viable betting option.
Our favorite NRFI is in the Giants vs. Marlins game, and we’re also looking at the Padres vs. Brewers game to close out the night on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Many bonuses are available on FanDuel through our exclusive link for new customers. If you bet $5 on FanDuel, you can receive $150 in bonus bets instantly, perfect for the first week of action!

Our favorite NRFI bet for Tuesday is in the Giants vs. Marlins game. The total is listed at 8.5 because of the shaky bullpens for both sides. However, the starting pitching is very good, so the price is moderate.
You can currently bet the NRFI for -146 on FanDuel Sportsbook. This may seem like a hefty price for six outs, but it’s worth playing with Jordan Hicks and Ryan Weathers.
Hicks has been fantastic all season and looks like one of the best wings in the MLB National League West. This is massive praise, considering the NL West is home to the Los Angeles Dodgers, the most talented team in baseball, and the defending league champs, the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Hicks is 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA and a 0.83 WHIP. He has allowed just 12 hits in 18 innings. Hicks doesn’t have elite strikeout ability, which is something we often fade for NRFI betting. However, he does an excellent job keeping the ball in the yard.
The quickest way to lose a NRFI is with a home run, and Hicks has allowed just one this season. The same goes for Marlins starter Ryan Weathers.
Nothing has been suitable for Miami, who is 3-14 to begin the season. Despite this, Weathers has been one of the few bright spots for the team. The left-hander is 1-1 with a 2.57 ERA and a 1.5 WHIP.
His walk rate slightly raises his WHIP, but his strikeouts keep the ball in the yard and help him escape jams. If Weathers pitches how he is capable, he can shut down the Giants.
Both offenses could have been better this season, but Miami is the worst of the two teams. The Marlins are batting just .209 as a team with a .273 OBP. If the Marlins can’t hit the ball, our NRFI has an even greater chance of cashing on Wednesday.
The NRFI is 1-0 in the series so far, as both offenses have performed poorly. Only seven runs were scored in game one, and we expect a similar result on Tuesday.

Even though our favorite NRFI is in the Giants vs. Marlins game, the best value for six outs is in the Padres vs. Brewers game. These offenses are better than the Giants and Marlins, which makes the NRFI risky.
However, the pitchers in this contest are excellent, making the NRFI a viable betting option. Dylan Cease will take the ball for the Padres.
He is 1-1 with a 2.16 ERA and a 0.84 WHIP. The pitcher has 20 strikeouts in 16.2 innings on the mound. He has elite strikeout ability and has allowed just one homer in 2024.
Wade Miley will throw for the Brewers. He has a 2.25 ERA with a 0.75 WHIP in four innings on the mound. Miley’s lack of time on the mound is a concern, but he has logged countless MLB innings.
The pitcher has experience and knows how to maneuver the best batters in the league.
