Marquette vs Colorado Prediction and Odds

Marquette

The Golden Eagles had a rough first half against Western Kentucky. They were down 43-36, but in the second half, they put up 51 while the Hilltoppers mustered up just 26. Kameron Jones led the team with 28 points. Tyler Kolek added 18 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds. Oso Ighodaro was quiet offensively, with just four points, but had three assists and eight rebounds. Stevie Mitchell also added 16, and David Joplin had 13.

As team, they shot 47.8% from the floor, 36.1% from three-point range, and 53.3% from the free throw line. They were out-rebounded by Western Kentucky 44-37. They lost in both offensive and defensive rebounds.

Marquette has won four of their last five games, losing to UConn in the Big East title game.

Entering the NCAA Tournament, Kolek was dealing with an oblique injury, but he appears to be OK after his performance.

Colorado

Tied at 100 apiece with less than ten seconds to go in the game, Colorado hit a deep two-point shot near the corner to take the 102-100 lead and the win. This game had plenty of offense, with five players scoring double-digit points, including KJ Simpson (23), Eddie Lampkin Jr. (21), J’Vonne Hadley (16), Tristan da Silva (17), and Luke O’Brien (12). Hadley and Lampkin Jr. led the team in rebounds with six each.

Against Florida, Colorado shot 63% from the floor and made six of ten shots from three. From the free throw line, they shot 84.8%. They out-rebounded Florida 29-28, but Florida had ten offensive rebounds compared to just five from them.

Marquette vs Colorado  Pick

  • PICK: Colorado +4 (-110 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

Don’t let the seedings fool you—this is going to be a close game. Marquette has its own scoring stars in Kolek, Jones, and Ighodaro when he’s more “on,” but Colorado is a team that can go nuclear at any time, like we saw against Florida. This season, Colorado shoots 49.2% from the floor and averages about four more rebounds per game than Marquette.

Kolek looked fine in their win here, but obliques tend to act up at any time.

Da Silva, Simpson, Cody Williams, and Hadley all shoot 38.2% or better from three, with all of them except Da Silva shooting 41% or better.

Don’t be surprised if Colorado wins here, but take them plus the points to be safe.

Take Colorado +4 at DraftKings Sportsbook, where you can receive $150 in bonus bets after wagering just $5.
