  • NC State holds the series lead vs. South Carolina 20-12, but the Gamecocks won the last matchup on Nov. 9, 2021, 66-57.

  • South Carolina lost to Iowa in the Final Four last season.

  • South Carolina ranks No. 1 in scoring margin and No. 1 in field goal defense; North Carolina ranks No. 47 in scoring and No. 88 in field goal percentage.

South Carolina will try to keep its perfect season intact when the Gamecocks take on NC State in the NCAAW Final Four on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. But the Wolfpack are 9-3 against ranked teams this season, including two top-five wins. So, South Carolina better not take them lightly.

As could be expected, the Gamecocks are a massive favorite at -11.5 to beat NC State.

Sports Betting Promos for NC State vs. South Carolina

Whether you want to bet on the favorite and take South Carolina or roll the dice on a longshot and go with NC State, the March Madness welcome promo from the sportsbooks in the table below could come in handy this weekend when betting on NCAAW Final Four.

NC State vs. South Carolina Prediction and Odds

Here is the betting line for NC State vs. South Carolina with odds via DraftKings:

NC State Wolfpack (31-6)

NC State is a solid team with talented players. But there is little room for error when you face an undefeated South Carolina team that is among the best in the nation on both ends of the court.

On the offensive end of the court, they have five players that have averaged in double figures this season, led by Aziaha James (16.7 ppg). That will be tough against a Gamecocks defense that has allowed 56 ppg (No. 17 in the country). But even if the offense can produce, the game may come down to how well River Baldwin can handle Kamilla Cardoso down low.

The Wolfpack defense has held opponents to 60.2 ppg this season; South Carolina scored less than 70 once this season (65-58 win over North Carolina on Nov. 30, 2023).

South Carolina (36-0)

For the Gamecocks, it will be all about making NC State beat them at their own game. They have the No. 3 offense in the country with 85.6 ppg, and they are tough on the defensive end (56 ppg allowed; No. 17).

They have held three of four tournament opponents to less than 60 ppg, with Indiana being the outlier with 75 ppg. Their four-point margin of victory vs. the Hoosiers was their second-lowest of the season (they beat Tennessee 74-73 on Mar. 9).

There isn’t much in their game you can find fault with. NC State could have an advantage if they can pull ahead and force South Carolina to play catch. The Gamecocks are not a tremendous three-point team (No. 256 in three-point attempts and No. 121 in three-pointers per game).

If the game is close in the final minutes, South Carolina can expect to get fouled early and often; the Gamecocks rank No. 251 in free throw percentage.

NC State vs. South Carolina Pick

The Gamecocks are not a great team ATS, having gone 15-17 this season and 14-15 when favored by 11.5+ points. South Carolina is by far the better team in this matchup and will likely win, but NC State is a solid team in its own right. The Wolfpack will make this game exciting and stay within single digits throughout.
