The Green Bay Packers (2-2) are heading southwest for a cross-conference matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders (1-3) on Monday Night Football in NFL Week 5.
We’ve put together a parlay with our favorite betting picks from the impending primetime matchup. Here’s how it looks…
The Packers received a shock to the system against the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football but had a long week to rest and should be better in Week 5. The Raiders are on a three-game skid and have one of the worst defenses in the league, which makes their release of Chandler Jones even more damaging.
We like an alternate under mostly because of the Raiders’ quarterback situation. Jimmy Garoppolo is banged up and has been anything but productive under center and leads the league in interceptions (six) despite missing a game, while rookie backup Aidan O’Connell threw for 238 yards, no touchdowns, and an interception last week.
Jones returned from an injury in Week 4 and did not make much of an impact against a Lions defense that had its way with the Packers. But looking back to what he did in Week 1, he both caught and ran for a touchdown, and his ability to be utilized in a variety of ways is why we like him to find success against a Raiders team that ranks 24th in points allowed per game (24.3).
Love has struggled with his accuracy but leads the league in average air distance per target and has thrown for 240+ yards in three of four games. He could easily go well beyond this total, but we also believe the Packers could shut down the passing game and become a run-first offense if they assume a large lead early on.
The total odds for this parlay are +425, which means that users can win $525 or $425 of profit with a $100 wager.
