The Dallas Cowboys (3-2) are hitting the West Coast for a date with the Los Angeles Chargers (2-2) on Monday Night Football in Week 6, and we’ve combined a few of our favorite betting picks into a same-game parlay.
Will America’s team prevail, or will the Bolts shock them two weeks in a row? Here are our thoughts and our Cowboys vs. Chargers same-game parlay.
The Cowboys are way up until they’re way down. They disappointed greatly in a 42-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers last week on Sunday Night Football and will be eager to reassert themselves as one of the top powers in the NFL. Even after the 32-point loss, they have the third-best scoring differential and seventh-ranked scoring defense, while the Chargers rank 14th and 24th in those categories.
Allen hit 50+ in the first three weeks of the season before only catching 32 yards in Week 4, though he also snagged a touchdown and proved he is still a central cog in the offense. Mike Williams is injured and Quentin Johnston has not impressed in his rookie season, and Allen’s 44 targets are more than double the next-closest active player (Joshua Palmer - 21).
Lamb only has one touchdown on the season, but the Chargers’ defense gives up the most passing yards per game (299.8) and ranks 28th in TD passes allowed per game (1.8). He’s a deep-ball threat who leads the Cowboys in targets and should jumpstart his season during a favorable matchup.
Along the same lines, we believe that Dak Prescott will respond after tossing a dud last week. In Weeks 2-4, he threw for 255, 249, and 261 yards, but has only gone over 250 twice. He’ll have a great chance to rack up strong numbers against the Chargers’ weak defense, especially if Justin Herbert and company light up the scoreboard as they usually do.
