The red-hot Kansas City Chiefs travel to New York to face the Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night. Before the season started, football fans saw this matchup and couldn’t wait for it on the schedule. With Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers out for the season with a torn Achilles, this game seems to be over before it starts.
New York fans had extremely high hopes this off-season with all of the additions. They were quickly denied the opportunity for a good season just four plays into Week 1.
The Jets are coming off of a 15-10 loss to the New England Patriots this past Sunday. It was a fairly disappointing effort, as the Zach Wilson led offense failed to get anything going for most of the game. To win this game they’ll have to do what teams haven’t been able to: keep Patrick Mahomes off the field.
The Chiefs had a rocky first game without tight end Travis Kelce. While they only lost by one to the Lions, it was a pretty rough performance from the former world champions.
In week three, Kansas City definitely regained confidence as they routed the Bears with a 42-10 win. We all know the Bears are not a good team, but the Jets are in the same boat.
This matchup could be an extremely boring blowout win for Kansas City, but we have some props that will make this game interesting.

In the first three weeks of the season, Isiah Pacheco has proven that he is the number one back in Kansas City. He has averaged 14 touches per game and has produced 70.5 yards/game.
In week three, in a similar matchup, he got the ball 17 times and accumulated 78 total yards. In a blowout situation, Pacheco can be expected to get fed the ball towards the end of the game to run the clock out.
The Jets are allowing 129.3 rushing yards per game on average, which is 22nd in the league. Kansas City does have a split backfield between Pacheco and Jerrick McKinnon, but McKinnon is strictly the goal line back. We expect the Chiefs to score early and often against the struggling Jets and for Pacheco to assist the team in getting the game clock to 0:00.

If you’ve watched football this season, you probably look at this game and think it’s a waste of time to watch. The only thing the Jets have going for them at this point in the season is their defense, but Patrick Mahomes seems to make good defenses irrelevant regarding production.
We expect Mahomes and the Chiefs to come out playing really fast football, passing the ball the entire first half until the game is out of reach. For the second half, it will be up to the Jets to push the pace and move the ball, which undoubtedly will turn into Zach Wilson turnovers late in the game.
This Jets defense should keep this game close enough that the Chiefs won’t have to feel the need to pull their starters at all. Just like Travis Kelce’s friend Taylor Swift’s song, the Jets side of the scoreboard could be a “Blank Space”

Travis Kelce is once again healthy and is back to his normal self. Kelce has scored in both games that he played after sitting out week one.
This Jets defense is somewhat stacked and loaded with talent, but the offense can’t help the defense out at all, so it typically doesn’t work out in New York’s favor.
Kelce has accumulated 11 catches on 17 targets for 95 yards with two touchdowns through two weeks. He’s been phenomenal the past few seasons, and if he can stay healthy, he is the best tight end in football. Another somewhat long shot that we considered was +400 for Kelce to be the first touchdown scorer.
