Islam Makhachev | TALE OF THE TAPE | Bobby Green |
30 | Age | 35 |
5 ft. 10 in. | Height | 5 ft. 10 in. |
70.5 in. | Reach | 71 in. |
21-1 | Record | 29-12-1 |
With only two-weeks left before the fight, number-three ranked lightweight Beniel Dariush was forced to withdraw from this main event due to a leg injury. Opting to save the bout rather than scrap it, the UFC inserted the always-game Bobby Green – despite the fact that Green himself had fought just two weeks ago.
Bobby Green is coming off of a unanimous decision win over Nasrat Haqparast at UFC 271 on February 12. It was his second win in a row, having defeated Al Iaquinta via first-round KO last November.
Islam Makhachev, the number-four ranked lightweight, is riding a nine-fight winning streak that most recently saw him submit Dan Hooker in the first round of their UFC 267 fight last October.
These two are almost physically identical in reach and height but, with Green stepping into the cage so soon after his last bout and having never fought someone as high in the rankings as Makhachev, it is no wonder that the oddsmakers have set Islam Makhachev as the massive -850 favorite.
We have to take Makhachev here but we don’t blame you for any temptation to place your bets on Bobby Green at +540.

Misha Cirkunov | TALE OF THE TAPE | Wellington Turman |
34 | Age | 25 |
6 ft. 3 in. | Height | 6 ft. |
77 in. | Reach | 72 in. |
15-7 | Record | 17-5 |
After suffering back-to-back losses, Weillington Turman got back into the win column in his last fight despite having a point deducted twice due to eye pokes. Turman defeated Sam Alvery via split-decision last August.
After a loss to Ryan Spann last March, Misha Cirkunov made the move down to the middleweight division and debuted in the weight class against Krzysztof Jotko, whom he lost to via split-decision last October.
Both of these fighters are just 1-3 in their last four fights.
Cirkuov will stand three-inches taller than his opponent and will also enjoy a five-inch reach advantage. He currently sits as a -122 to win.
Ji Yeon Kim | TALE OF THE TAPE | Priscila Cachoeira |
32 | Age | 33 |
5 ft. 7 in. | Height | 5 ft. 7 in. |
72 in. | Reach | 65 in. |
9-4-2 | Record | 10-4 |
Ji Yeon Kim enters Saturday night’s contest on a two-fight skid that has seen her drop back-to-back unanimous decisions to Molly McCann and Alexa Grasso.\
Priscila Cachoeira is also coming into the bout following a loss; a first-round submission loss to Gillian Robertson at UFC 269 last December.
Despite the losses, Kim will hold the edge in this fight as she holds a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and black belts in hapkido and wushu. She will also have a seven-inch reach advantage.
She is the favorite at -192.
Arman Tsarukyan | TALE OF THE TAPE | Joel Alvarez |
25 | Age | 28 |
5 ft. 9 in. | Height | 6 ft. 3 in. |
72 in. | Reach | 77 in. |
17-2 | Record | 19-2 |
This fight has a lot of potential to be a barnburner. Both men lost their UFC debuts but have BOTH followed their losses up with four straight wins in the octagon.
Joel Alvarez has finished all four fights throughout his current winning streak – two via TKO and two via submission. He most recently earned a first-round TKO win over Thiago Moises last November.
Tsarukyan won three decisions in a row before earning a first-round TKO over Christos Giagos last September.
The biggest differences here are genetic as Alvarez will stand five-inches taller and will have a five-inch reach advantage.
Despite those advantages, oddsmakers feel this is Tsarukyan’s fight to win as he is listed as the -220 favorite.
Armen Petrosyan | TALE OF THE TAPE | Gregory Rodrigues |
31 | Age | 30 |
6 ft. 2 in. | Height | 6 ft. 3 in. |
71 in. | Reach | 76 in. |
6-1 | Record | 11-3 |
Following a win for Colosseum MMA, Armen Petrosyan appeared on the Dana White Contender Series last October and defeated Kaloya Kolev via first-round TKO. Saturday night will mark his UFC debut.
Gregory Rodrigues lost his bout on the Contender Series in 2020, but still managed to sign with the UFC last June, where he has since won all three of his promotional bouts – most recently a unanimous decision over Kody Steele last December.
Rodrigues is one-year younger, one-inch taller, and will have a five-inch reach advantage. He is set as a -194.
