Walker Vs Hill

Johnny Walker vs Jamahal Hill – Light Heavyweight Division

Johnny Walker TALE OF THE TAPE Jamahal Hill
29 Age 30
6 ft. 5 in. Height 6 ft. 4 in.
82 in. Reach 79 in.
18-6 Record 9-1, 1 no-contest

Originally set as the co-main event for Saturday night’s Fight Night card, light heavyweights Johnny Walker and Jamahal Hill were moved up to main event status after visa issues forced lightweights Rafael dos Anjos and Rafael Fiziev off the card.

Walker, once a dynamic prospect touted to give Jon Jones a challenge, has gone just 1-3 over his last four fights. He suffered back-to-back losses to Corey Anderson and Nikita Krylov before defeating Ryan Spann via knockout.

His most recent fight saw him on the losing end of a unanimous decision against Thiago Santos last October.

Jamahal Hill suffered the first loss of his career against Paul Craig last June but bounced back in his most recent bout to end 2021 strong. He took on Jimmy Crute last December and defeated him via first-round KO – earning him a performance bonus in the process.

Walker will stand one-inch taller and will have a three-inch reach advantage. He holds a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu compared to Hill’s blue belt.

However, Hill is heavily favored at -265; the largest betting favorite on the main card.

Kyle Daukaus vs Jamie Pickett – Catchweight (195 lbs.)

Kyle Daukaus TALE OF THE TAPE Jamie Pickett
28 Age 33
6 ft. 3 in. Height 6 ft. 2 in.
76 in. Reach 80 in.
10-2, 1 no-contest Record 13-6

Originally set to take on Julian Marquesz, Kyle Daukaus saw his opponent pull out of the fight at the last minute. In order to not lose another main card fight, the UFC brought in fellow middleweight Jamie Pickett, albeit all involved opted to fight at a catchweight of 195-pounds.

Daukaus enters the contest needing a win. He was 1-2 in his last three fights heading into his most recent bout against Kevin Holland last October. That fight ended in a no-contest in the first round after an unintentional clash of heads.

After back-to-back losses, Jamie Pickett currently finds himself on a two-fight winning streak that saw him defeat Laureano Staropoli and, most recently, Joseph Holmes – both via unanimous decision.

Daukaus holds a back belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu as well as a purple belt in muay thai. Although one-inch taller than Pickett, it is Jamie Pickett who will have a four-inch reach advantage.

Parker Porter vs Alan Baudot – Heavyweight Division

Parker Porter TALE OF THE TAPE Alan Baudot
36 Age 34
6 ft. Height 6 ft. 3 in.
75 in. Reach 79 in.
11-5 Record 8-2

Saturday night will mark the second UFC appearance for Alan Baudot, he debuted for the promotion last October – losing to top-heavyweight prospect Tom Aspinall via first-round TKO.

Parker Porter last appeared in the octagon last August- defeating Chase Sherman via unanimous decision. The win was his second in a row.

Porter boasts a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu but Baudot, the MMA Factory alum, holds both the height and reach advantage over his opponent.

With all that said, Porter is favored by the oddsmakers at -250, with a decision win most likely in the cards.

Jim Miller vs Nikolas Motta – Lightweight Division

Jim Miller TALE OF THE TAPE Nikolas Motta
38 Age 29
5 ft. 8 in. Height 5 ft. 9 in.
71 in. Reach 70 in.
33-16, 1 no-contest Record 12-3

Once Jim Miller steps into the octagon on Saturday, he will be making his 39th UFC appearance. He already holds the record for most UFC appearances across all weight classes with 38 fights.

He will also be entering the octagon on a high note, having snapped a two-fight losing streak in his most recent fight when he defeated Erick Gonzalez via second-round knockout.

Nikolas Motta has won three straight and will be making his UFC debut this weekend. His most recent bout took place last November, when he earned a unanimous decision victory in the Contender Series.

Motta is nine-years younger than Miller and will have a one-inch reach advantage. However, Miller will be one-inch taller, boasts a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and NCAA division-one wrestling credentials, and has more experience than anyone in the division.

We take the older, underdog Jim Miller at +140.

Joaquin Buckley vs Abdul Razak Alhassan – Middleweight Division

Joaquin Buckely TALE OF THE TAPE Abdul Razak Alhassan
27 Age 36
5 ft. 8 in. Height 5 ft. 10 in.
76 in. Reach 73 in.
13-4 Record 11-4

Both of these fighters are coming off of the performance of the night-earning knockout wins.

Joaquin Buckley, who had been knocked out via head kick in his previous fight, most recently defeated Antonio Arroyo via third-round knockout last September.

Abdul Razak Alhassan most recently defeated Alessio Di Chirico via a first-round head kick KO. Prior to that win, Alhassan had lost three straight.

Alhassan will stand two inches taller and holds a black belt in judo while Buckley will have the three-inch reach advantage and is a -150 favorite.
