Best MLB Home Run Props Today: Betting on the Only Pirates Bat We Can Trust
The Pittsburgh Pirates are once again one of the worst teams in baseball, but veteran Bryan Reynolds has been an exception. The 30-year-old has been hot in August, with his average and power numbers continuing to climb. Below, we’ll share why we like his chances to go deep tonight, as well as two other home run prop bets we love.

Home Run Picks for Thursday, August 28
Bryan Reynolds Anytime Home Run (+500) at Caesars Sportsbook
The Pirates' veteran star has seen his bat heat up after a brutal July. He owns a .974 OPS this month, with four home runs. We love his chances to add another tonight for two reasons.
The first is that Reynolds has two home runs at Busch Stadium, one of which came on Tuesday. The star has four hits in his first ten at-bats this series, giving us plenty of reason to back him tonight.
The other reason we are locking this home run prop bet in is Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas (6-10, 5.17 ERA, 1.36 WHIP). The 37-year-old has been showing his age this summer, going 2-8 with a 6.17 ERA. While most of his struggles have come on the road, he’s been far from perfect when at home.
Reynolds has just one home run over 42 at-bats against Mikolas, but owns an impressive .941 OPS.

Ronald Acuna Jr Anytime Home Run (+330) at Caesars Sportsbook
The former MVP returned from the IL on August 15 and finally seems to be settling in. We saw Acuna once again flash his impressive talent during the season, but he cooled off in June. A calf strain may have been to blame, which sent him to the IL. With the injury healed(ish), we expect Acuna’s impressive production to soon continue.
Acuna will be facing veteran Phillies’ starter Aaron Nola (2-7, 6.52 ERA, 1.53 WHIP) tonight. The 32-year-old has been struggling in 2025, and he is currently having trouble keeping the ball in play. Over his last four starts (17 innings), Nola has allowed seven home runs.
Nola will be dreading facing off against Acuna, with a .345 average and six home runs over 55 at-bats.

Harrison Bader Anytime Home Run (+245) at Caesars Sportsbook
Our third and final home run prop also comes from tonight’s NL East matchup.
While Kyle Schwarber is the safest bet on the board, we believe the real value lies in backing Harrison Bader. The long-time Cardinal was acquired by the Philles at the beginning of the month, and has been red hot of late. He is batting .556 with a home run over the last week.
Bader and the Phillies will be up against Braves’ starter Cal Quantrill (4-11, 5.51 ERA, 1.42 WHIP). The lefty has been awful in August, going 0-3 with a 9.72 ERA across four starts. He’s now allowed five home runs over his last 16 ⅔ innings pitched, which is a good sign for Bader and company tonight.
While Bader isn’t hitting left-handed pitching exceptionally well, he has five hits and three home runs in seven career at-bats against Quantrill.
