Implemented in 2020, the NBA Play-In Tournament has provided some of the season's most exciting games, as the single-elimination format leaves no room for error.

Here's a preview of the teams expected to compete in this year's NBA Play-In. The regular season will end on April 9th, and the participating teams are subject to change.

The 2023 NBA Play-In Tournament will occur between April 11th and April 14th.
The NBA Play-In Tournament showcases six games and involves eight teams, four from each of the NBA's conferences.
The top 6 seeds in each conference qualify for guaranteed playoff positions, while the teams that finish 7th through 10th participate in the Play-In. The teams that end with the 7th and 8th highest winning percentage during the regular season will have two opportunities to qualify for the NBA Playoffs.

The seventh seed in the West and Eastern Conference has been the most successful with four wins, failing to lose a game in the NBA Play-In Tournament. Due to their seeding, they automatically advance to the NBA Playoffs after earning a win.
The ninth seed has the most wins in the NBA Play-In Tournament. They are 4-0 in Play-in games and 3-1 in their final matchup for the eighth seed, for seven wins.
The eighth seed has the most losses, with seven, because of their automatic qualification for two matches. They are 1-7 all-time in Play-In Tournament matchups.
The 2023 NBA Playoffs will tip-off on Saturday, April 15th - one day after the conclusion of the NBA Play-In Tournament.
The NBA Play-In Tournament will be broadcasted on TNT and ESPN nationally. It may also be available on local television networks, subject to agreement.
