The NC State Wolfpack are the last remaining double-digit seed in the NCAA Tournament, and they’ll have a shot to keep their Cinderella story going tonight. However, they’ll be facing a Marquette team that has been one of the best in the country all season. Both teams have not found success in March Madness of late, but one will be able to change that tonight.

If you are looking to wager on tonight’s NC State vs Marquette game, you’ve come to the right place. Below, we’ll share the latest odds, insights into the game, and our favorite bet.

Marquette vs. NC State Prediction and Odds

Marquette Golden Eagles Preview

While Marquette came close to blowing their win over Colorado, it was one of the most impressive shooting performances of the tournament. The Eagles made 61.8% of their shots from the field and 42.9% from three. The Buffs were a good defensive team, making Marquette’s offensive breakout all the more impressive.

The return of Tyler Kolek cannot be understated. It took the team a bit to adjust to having him back on the floor, but he has been fantastic. The senior guard has scored 39 points while making 63% of his shots across their two games. His talent and experience are critical to the Golden Eagles' success, and he’ll play a key role tonight.

Oso Ighodaro is our player to watch tonight. The senior is 6’11” and 235 pounds, meaning he will be able to battle the 6’9”, 275-pound DJ Burns. NC State has succeeded because opponents lack the size to match up with the big man, but that won’t be the case tonight.

NC State Wolfpack Preview

On March 9, the Wolfpack had a 14-17 record heading into the ACC Tournament. They looked like a borderline NIT team, but a miraculous run in the conference tournament landed them a ticket to March Madness. They have kept rolling, demolishing Texas Tech and taking down Oakland in overtime. However, they will be facing a far more challenging opponent tonight.

While DJ Burns has become the force that the Wolfpack’s offense is running through, we see DJ Horne as the key tonight. Marquette has some size to battle Burns down low, forcing NC State to rely on their shooters. Horne was the team's leading scorer, but he is making just 37.5% of his shots in the tournament. The guard is also the team’s only reliable shooter from three, but he is 4-14 through their two games (28.6%).

If Horne can regain his form, NC State will be incredibly hard to stop.

Marquette vs. NC State Pick

We see this as one of the worst games of the Sweet 16. NC State’s win over Texas Tech was impressive, but they needed overtime to beat Oakland. Marquette is far better than both of those teams, especially with Kolek back in the lineup. The Eagles have some size to battle with Burns, and the Wolfpack don’t have the depth to make up for it.

Even if DJ Horne recaptures his form, NC State is not a good shooting team and will need to score a lot to keep pace with Marquette.
