Falcons running back Bijan Robinson had 23 touches in Week 1, including 18 carries and five catches.
Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney will face a combination of cornerbacks that allowed eight catches on 14 targets for well over 100 yards and a touchdown.
Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins is playing his second game after recovering from an Achilles tear last season. In Week 1, he completed just 16 of 26 passes for less than 200 yards, one touchdown, and an interception.
This week, on Monday Night Football, the Philadelphia Eagles will host the Atlanta Falcons in their home opener. Last week on MNF, the San Francisco 49ers completely steamrolled the New York Jets, and if Week 1 was any indication of these teams' progress, we could see another big-time win.
Below, I’ve constructed a four-leg Same Game Parlay using odds from FanDuel Sportsbook with odds of +2196. At FanDuel Sportsbook, you’ll get $200 in bonus bets and three free weeks of NFL Sunday Ticket when you sign up for an account, deposit $10 or more, and wager $5 or more.
Let’s check out this SGP below.
Heading into this season, Robinson was a strong candidate to have the most rushing yards by the end of the season. In fact, he’s my favorite to ultimately accomplish that. However, in Week 1, he got off to a slow start, rushing 18 times for 68 yards. He averaged just 3.8 yards per carry.
The Eagles' run defense didn’t look up to snuff in Week 1, but it was in Brazil on a field that, well, had some issues, to put it mildly.
They allowed 163 rushing yards to the Packers, including 16 carries for 84 yards (5.2 yards per carry) to Josh Jacobs.
After Week 1, the Eagles may be able to spot that Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins isn’t quite healthy enough. After all, they ran exactly zero play-action plays, per Pro Football Focus.
However, I think Robinson will get enough volume to hit the over here for 65 yards. He should see between 15-20 carries per game, making lines like this pretty routine for the second-year back.

This ties into what I mentioned above, but I think Robinson is in a position to get enough touches to end up with a score here. He has 23 total touches in Week 1 while scoring just 10 points and losing 18-10. He had 18 carries for 68 yards and five catches for 43 yards. His five catches led the team.
Robinson is a massive part of this offense, and he’s the key to making it go, whether it’s running the ball, getting him the ball and space, or working the play-action game.
The standalone odds of -125 aren’t the bet, but when included in the Same Game Parlay, it’s worth it. Nowadays, in the NFL, if you can find a player that’ll receive 20+ touches, that usually equates to production, inefficiently or not.
Robinson finds the endzone early here.

Here’s where the parlay takes a bit of a risk, but I’m willing to do so, given the matchup.
In Week 1, Ray-Ray McCloud saw six targets and caught four balls from the slot. I think we’ll see more production from Mooney from that spot this week.
Mooney was tied with Kyle Pitts and Drake London for the most receiving snaps with 28, and they all ran routes on 84.8% of those. Mooney played 17 snaps from the slot and 35 out wide. He moves around a bit, but between those two matchups, he’ll oppose Eagles cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell and Avonte Maddox.
Mitchell looked great with three pass breakups, but he also allowed five catches on nine targets for 86 yards. As for Maddox, he allowed three catches on five targets for 30 yards and a touchdown.
Mooney will play a bunch here, and his team is likely to be trailing. I think he will find the endzone this week.

I was tempted to take the Eagles -6.5 and push this SGP to around +5000, but to be safe, I’ll settle with the moneyline.
The Falcons simply didn’t look right in Week 1, and Cousins may take some time to recover mentally, if not physically, from tearing his Achilles.
He completed just 16 of 26 passes for 155 yards, one touchdown, and two picks. He was also sacked twice.
The Falcons need to get the play-action game going. The Eagles' secondary is questionable enough, though, that I think the Falcons could keep this within six, but I’m not sure the team is put together enough yet to get a road win against the NFC East favorite.
Look for the Eagles' offense to run well with Saquon Barkley and this group of receivers to outmatch the Falcons' secondary that consists of A.J. Terrell, Jessie Bates III, and Justin Simmons. I also think this Eagles offensive line will match up well with the Falcons pass rush. In Week 1, the Eagles' offensive line didn't allow a single sack but did allow nine pressures. Falcons edge rusher Matthew Judon will have his work cut out for him against right tackle Lane Johnson.
