The Tampa Bay Rays will travel to Colorado to face the Rockies of the National League West. It has been a slow start for Tampa Bay, but it has been much better than Colorado who is 1-6 to open the season.
It’s hard to pitch in Colorado, and some pitchers are bad at Coors Field. Austin Gomber, who will pitch for the Rockies, is one of the worst pitchers in his ballpark.
Gomber started the season poorly, allowing six hits, four runs, two homers, and three walks in 4.2 innings of work. Arizona’s offense is slightly better than Tampa Bay’s, but we still believe the Rays will do damage against Colorado.
Zack Littell will throw for the Rays. He is 1-0 with a 1.00 WHIP. He hasn’t allowed a run in six innings and has six strikeouts on the season. The Rays' team ERA is 4.86, compared to the Rockies' 8.37.
Colorado’s pitching flaws will show throughout the game, which should be why Tampa Bay prevails to kick off the series.

The Dodgers are dominating nearly every team in their path and showing why they’re a World Series contender. After splitting their two-game series with the Padres in Korea, they’ve posted a 6-1 record in the United States. They have a great chance to move to 7-1 against Kyle Hendricks and the Cubs, so we’re taking them as the second leg of our parlay.
Hendricks is a ground ball pitcher, but this is an issue against the Dodgers. Hendricks can’t afford to miss any spots because his velocity is so poor. His lack of speed should give Los Angeles an excellent chance to leave the yard on Friday.
The pitcher is 0-1 with a 12.27 ERA and a 3.00 WHIP. He has thrown just 3.2 innings and allowed nine hits, including two homers, to the Rangers in this span.
Texas has a great offense, but it’s nothing like the Dodgers’ lineup. Mookie Betts has been the catalyst for the team’s success, with a .485/.595/1.091 slash line to begin the season.
Shohei Ohtani also hit his first home run in Dodger blue in the team’s last game, so the offense is coming alive.

The reasoning behind taking the Tigers is straightforward. The Athletics are a terrible team and will lose over 100 games. When they’re outmatched, which they are most nights of the week, they typically lose.
Detroit is 5-1 and has one of their best pitchers on the mound against Oakland. Tarik Skubal threw a gem in his first start of the season, striking out six batters in six innings without surrendering a run.
He will pitch against JP Sears, who has a 12.27 ERA and a 2.18 WHIP after one start. Oakland’s offense was the worst in baseball last season, and they’re bound for this ranking again.
