Best NRFI Bets Today 04 05 2024

This Friday is going to be another stellar night in Major League Baseball if you like great pitching and rivalries. There will be great opportunities to place bets through DraftKings Sportsbook based on runs not being accounted for in the first inning.

One of the quickest bets in the MLB today to make is the NRFI between the New York Mets and the Cincinnati Reds. Another great matchup for NFRI bets will be the rivalry between the Houston Astros and the Cincinnati Reds.

There are several more bonuses and betting opportunities through DraftKings, which can be utilized just for new customers by using our exclusive link. If you bet $5 on DraftKings, you will receive $150 in Bonus Bets.

New York Mets vs. Cincinnati Reds (6:45 PM EST)

Under 0.5 Runs (-110) at DraftKings Sportsbook

The easiest bet to make regarding NRFI is the matchup between the New York Mets (1-5) going on the road to take on the Cincinnati Reds (4-2). These two teams are examples of teams going in the opposite direction. The Mets are starting with one of the worst records this year in the MLB. The Reds, on the other hand, have serious potential to be dark horses for a postseason run thanks to the overall talent of their roster.

The Reds and the Mets are few of the only teams in the league that have not accounted for a run in the first inning at this point in the season. Cincinnati is a team that accounts for big hits later in the game.

The Mets are set to start Jose Quintana, who had a solid performance in 4.2 innings of the Mets’ 3-1 home loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. Quintana didn’t allow a run until the fourth inning. He allowed six hits, two runs with one being a home run, two walks, and accounted for four strikeouts.

The Reds, on the other hand, are set to start Hunter Greene, who had a similar performance in the Reds’ 7-6 loss at home to the Washington Nationals, their only loss in the series. He allowed five hits, two runs, and four walks while delivering seven strikeouts in 4.2 innings. Greene didn’t allow a run until the fourth inning.

Look for Quintana and Greene to have a great start to this game on Friday night against teams that have been unable to score in the first inning through six games.

Houston Astros vs. Texas Rangers (8:05 PM EST)

Under 0.5 Runs (+105) at DraftKings Sportsbook

Oftentimes the best bets for NRFI do not come from team matches but from the projected starting pitchers. Perhaps the best game of the night has to be the rivalry matchup between the Houston Astros (2-5) going on the road to take on the Texas Rangers (4-2).

The Astros are regaining momentum by winning two of the three games played at home versus the Toronto Blue Jays. This is after the Astros were swept in four games at home to the New York Yankees to start the season. Houston has four of their seven first innings where they haven’t accounted for a run. They are either a big hit in the first inning or they miss.

The Rangers have won two of their three-game series versus both the Chicago Cubs and the Tampa Bay Rays. During this stretch, the Rangers have only accounted for a run in the first inning in only one game. That game was game one of the series versus the Rays where the Rangers accounted for three runs in the first inning.

Texas is set to start Cody Bradford at the mound versus the Astros. In the 11-2 win over the Cubs, Bradford only allowed three hits, two runs with one as a home run, one walk, and six strikeouts. Those two runs came in the second inning.

The Astros will be starting Hunter Browe as the pitcher. Browne has allowed only four hits, one run, and two walks while delivering five strikeouts in the 5-3 loss to the Yankees.

Look for this matchup to be low-scoring early.
