It’s time for the second elimination race of the 2019 NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series playoffs.
After the usual Talladega drama, Kansas will set up the field for the next round of the postseason.
Four drivers will drop out of the championship battle, with eight going through.
But this race is important for all drivers, even the ones already safely into the Round of 8.
A win at Kansas secures five bonus points, which is absolutely crucial in the battle for the Championship Four.

Martin Truex Jr. has been the man to beat in the playoffs.
The Joe Gibbs driver has yet to finish lower than seventh.
The 2017 champion won the first two races and finished second at Dover.
When his record at Kansas comes into play, Truex looks like an even better pick.
He has four top 5 finishes in the last five starts, including two wins and a second place.
Should Truex continue with his current form, a win at Kansas seems very likely.
Brad Keselowski won at Kansas in May, the most recent race at the track.
The Team Penske driver is a two-time winner at the oval.
Keselowski also has another top 2 finish in the last five starts.
He holds the second-highest average finish at Kansas in the last five races.
The 2012 champion is off to a good run in the playoffs.
Kevin Harvick holds the third-best average finish at Kansas in the last five races.
The Stewart-Haas driver also has two wins in the last six starts at the track.
Harvick had a very good showing in the May race.
The 2014 champion started from the pole and led the most laps, but finished 13th after running into pit stop problems.
His three career wins at Kansas are tied for first among active drivers.
Harvick also has three top 5 results and has yet to finish outside the top 5 in this year’s playoffs.
Chase Elliott is the defending Hollywood Casino 400 winner.
The Hendrick Motorsports driver secured his spot in last year’s Round of 8 with the result.
Elliott scored a solid top 5 finish in May, leading 45 laps.
After an early retirement at Dover, he still needs a good result at Kansas in order to advance.

Joey Logano has two career wins at Kansas.
The Team Penske driver, however, does not have a very good record in the recent races.
Logano missed out on the top 10 in four of the last seven races.
He did score a pole-position and led 100 laps in last year’s edition of the Hollywood Casino 400.
After a very good regular season, the reigning champion has struggled in the playoffs.
Kyle Larson is carrying the momentum from his first win in the last 85 races.
After snapping his winless streak at Dover, Larson arrives at another good track for him.
The Chip Ganassi driver has four top 10 finishes in the last five starts at Kansas.
He scored two top 5 finishes in two races at the track last year, leading 101 laps and winning a stage.
One of the strongest drivers in the Cup Series since the summer, Larson could improve his chances in the Round of 8 by adding another win.
