The Twins have kept the high-scoring Dodgers in check in this series for a total of 10 runs in the two games played. Los Angeles has only scored once in the first inning in any of the two games played.

For as explosive the Dodgers can be at bat, they are ranked tenth in the league in runs accounted for in the first inning (0.64). The Twins are one of the worst teams in the league in accounting for runs in the first inning (0.22).

The Dodgers are set to start Bobby Miller at pitcher this Wednesday. He hasn’t been efficient this season as he has wanted to as he has accounted for a season ERA of 5.87. Miller only allowed two hits and one walk in six innings of the Dodgers’ 6-3 home win over the St. Louis Cardinals on March 29. His next game was at the Chicago Cubs where he allowed five runs, all in the second inning.

The Twins are set to start Chris Paddack, who has accounted for a season ERA of 4.5 in one game played. He only allowed two runs in the 7-3 win at the Milwaukee Brewers with the first run coming in the second inning.

This should be a game where scoring might not occur until after the first inning.

Erick Fedde has been the most efficient starting pitcher for the White Sox this season with a current season ERA of 2.79. He has allowed one in the first inning all season from the Kansas City Royals, who are ranked 11^th in the league in runs accounted for in the first inning (0.60).
