Monday Night Football is set to conclude a huge week four of the 2023 NFL Season. The Seattle Seahawks (2-1) will go on the road to take on the New York Giants (1-2) in a game that will certainly impact the NFC Playoffs this early into the season.

The Giants decisively to the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers in weeks one and three, respectively. Their lone win came in week two in a close 31-28 at the Arizona Cardinals, one of the worst teams in the league. The Seahawks started the season with a tough 30-13 loss to divisional rival in the Los Angeles Rams in week one. They rebounded with an overtime win at the Detroit Lions and a 10-point victory over the Carolina Panthers.

Seattle Seahawks vs. New York Giants Betting Preview

Not many football experts would have thought the Seattle Seahawks would have one of the most dynamic and productive offenses in the league last year. This season, quarterback Geno Smith is leading the same talented, young group to a consistent scoring offense. The Seahawks are ranked sixth in the NFL in points per game (29), 15th in total yards per game (332.7), and 12th in passing yards per game (228.3). The biggest thing holding back a tenacious passing game and powerful is the injuries to the offensive, including both offensive tackles.

The New York Giants were well-balanced on the defensive side of the ball last season. The Giants allowed 21.8 points per game (tied for 17th in the NFL). This season, the Giants are off to a horrible start as they rank 30th in points allowed per game (32.7). They have been bullied at the line of scrimmage due to the veteran losses during the offseason. The Giants are also not equipped to defend the rushing game as they rank 27th in the league in rushing yards allowed per game (138).

While the Giants have had some problems on the defensive side of the ball, their problems were even bigger on offense. The Giants have lacked a balance between an ineffective passing game and a running game with an injured running back Saquon Barkley. The Giants are ranked 31st in the league in points per game (14.3). There isn’t much hope for the Giants' offense with Barkley, offensive tackle Andrew Thomas and guard Wyatt Davis injured. Their newly paid $40 million-a-year quarterback in Daniel Jones has thrown two touchdowns and four interceptions in three games played.

The Seahawks' defense is filled with veteran players at the front seven and young, but talented players in the secondary. They have dealt with several injuries in the secondaries, including each of the starters. The Seahawks are currently in the league in passing yards allowed per game (328) due to the many injuries along the defense. Several of these players, including safety Jamal Adams and top coverage cornerback Tariq Woolen, are likely to play on Monday night. The Seahawks have improved their play in the run defense as opposed to last season. Seattle should have one of their easiest games defensively yet this season.

Seahawks vs. Giants Picks & Predictions

Pick #1 - Over 66.5 Rushing Yards from Seattle running back Kenneth Walker III (-115)

Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III hasn't had a sophomore slump this season after a solid rookie season last season. Through three games this year, Walker has rushed for 204 yards on 47 carries and four touchdowns. He rushed for 64 yards in the season-opener against the Los Angeles Rams. Walker is coming off a 97-yard rushing performance in last week's 37-27 home win over the Panthers. The Giants are still trying to establish their identity on defense at stopping the run.

Pick #2 - Over 63.5 Receiving Yards from Seattle wide receiver D.K. Metcalf (-125)

D.K. Metcalf remains the top target for the Seahawks' offense through three games this season. Metcalf has accounted for 187 receiving yards in the last two games with 112 coming from the game against the Panthers. His momentum and the Giants' poor defensive play should allow another potential 100-yard receiving game.

Pick #3 - Under 23.5 teams points from the New York Giants (-115)

The Giants are going into this game without star running back Saquon Barkley and offensive tackle Andrew Thomas. The Seahawks' defense is looking to get most of their starters back from injury, including several in the secondary. This could be the best performance from Seattle defensively, which will give the home team some trouble.
