As the name suggests, Euro 2020 was supposed to take place last summer. The coronavirus pandemic put paid to that plan, but the tournament – which is being held in multiple venues the continent – has now begun. France, Belgium, and England are the favorites, but there is a long way to go before the medals get handed out.

Read on to find out how you can bet on Euro 2020 online.

Where Is Euro 2020 Taking Place?

Euro 2020 is taking place in 11 different stadiums in the same number of cities across Europe. Former UEFA president Michel Platini came up with the idea to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the European Championship, which began in 1960. Despite being pushed back a year, Euro 2020 has retained the pan-continental format.

The cities that are hosting matches are Glasgow, London, Seville, Rome, Munich, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Baku, Saint Petersburg, Budapest, and Bucharest. Dublin and Bilbao were forced to withdraw after they failed to guarantee the presence of fans inside their stadiums.

Euro 2020 began in Rome on June 11 and will conclude with the final in London on July 11.

Where Can I Bet on Euro 2020 in the US?

Despite being a European competition, Euro 2020 is popular across the planet. It features many of the world’s best players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Robert Lewandowski and Kevin De Bruyne.

The tournament is being followed in the United States too. You can bet on Euro 2020 via DraftKings, BetMGM, William Hill, BetRivers, bet365, Unibet, PointsBet, SugarHouse, 888Sport, and more!

Who Are the Favorites to Win Euro 2020?

France are the favorite to win Euro 2020 (+440 with DraftKings Sportsbook). Les Bleus have world-class stars like Mbappe, N’Golo Kante and Antoine Griezmann in their team. They are also the reigning world champions after winning the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

England are ranked No.2 by the sportsbooks (+600 with DraftKings Sportsbook), followed by Belgium (+650 with DraftKings Sportsbook) and Italy (+700 with Draft Kings Sportsbook).

What Type of Bets Should I Place on Euro 2020?

We would recommend parlays as a way to increase the value of your bets. There is more risk involved when you combine two or more selections, but the increased reward is often worth it.

Parlays are also ideal for soccer tournaments when there are as many as three matches taking place each day. Making three choices from those matches is a fun – and potentially lucrative – way to bet on Euro 2020.

You can also look at the futures markets. It is possible to bet not just on the overall winners, but also on the player of the tournament, the top goalscorer, and more. You can also bet on which stage of the tournament any of the 24 teams will reach, as well as which side will win each of the six groups.

How Can I Increase My Chances of Winning Soccer Bets?

The best way to increase your chances of winning soccer bets is by looking for value. Finding the right sportsbook for your particular choice is recommended – compare prices between some of those we mentioned above.

You will also benefit from doing some research – and it does not necessarily need to be intensive. Things like checking up on team news and reading about how a team player in their last game (the result does not tell the full story, after all) can be invaluable.

What Is The Safest Soccer Bet?

The safest soccer bet is picking a winner in a particular match. This is a particularly wise choice for those who do not have the time or inclination to dig deeper into the two teams.

What Can I Bet on Apart From the Result?

There is often better value to be found in other markets, though. Most sportsbooks also offer combinations such as Team A to win and Both teams to score, or Team B to win and Over 2.5 goals. Bets like this provide a better return than simply choosing which side will triumph.

There are numerous other markets to explore. You can bet on the number of yellow and red cards, how many corners there will be, which player will score the first goal, how many goals there will be in the second half – and plenty more besides! Fire up your favored sportsbook and check out the many options available.
