Best Lions vs. Ravens Prop Bets NFL Week 7

One of the first games on the week seven Sunday slate is set for a matchup between two legitimate playoff contenders. The Detroit Lions (5-1) will go on the road to take on the Baltimore Ravens (4-2) in one of the biggest games of week seven.

The Detroit Lions have had a stellar start to the 2023 NFL season as they have won five of their first six games. Their only loss comes in an overtime defeat at home 37-31 to the Seattle Seahawks, a playoff-caliber team in the NFC. The Lions have the huge week one Thursday Night Football win on the road over the Kansas City Chiefs. Finally, Detroit is coming off a stellar 20-6 when on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Baltimore Ravens can make a serious statement that they should be 6-0 going into week seven. The Ravens have two tough one-possession losses at home against the Indianapolis Colts and at the Pittsburgh Steelers, games that were definitely winnable. Baltimore, however, does have two AFC North wins under their belt and a solid 25-9 home win over the Houston Texans, which is looking good as the season progresses.

Lions vs Ravens Predictions

Detroit Lions vs. Baltimore Ravens Best Prop Bets

Pick #1 - Under 53.5 Rushing Yards from Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (-105)

There is no doubt that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is still one of the most dynamic offensive playmakers in the league. In six games played this season, Jackson has rushed for 327 yards on 60 carries and four touchdowns. He is averaging 54.5 yards per game on the ground.

Jackson has rushed for over 54 yards in only two of the six games played this season. Those two games were against the bad defenses of the Tennessee Titans and the Indianapolis Colts. His toughest rushing performance was in the 28-3 road win over the Cleveland Browns, where the elite defense of the Browns held him to only 27 yards on 9 carries.

Detroit's defense is ranked ninth in the league in points allowed per game (18.8) as they are also the top-ranked rushing defense in the league by allowing only 64.7 yards on the ground. The Lions are going to do what they do best and take away the most successful aspect of their opponents' offense, which would be the dynamic playmaking of Jackson.

Pick #2 - Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns from Detroit quarterback Jared Goff (+130)

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff continues to have a successful run after being traded from the Los Angeles Rams. Not only has Goff rejuvenated his NFL career, but he has also shown he may be a potential franchise quarterback for the long haul with Detroit and is becoming a sneaky candidate to be the league MVP.

This Sunday's matchup against Baltimore will be one of the biggest games for Detroit since their first two games of the season. Goff will be going against one of the top defenses and past defenses in the league. His goal is to ensure that his passes get to a proper window for his receivers and not turn the ball over.

There aren't many expectations for the Lions’ rushing game against this high-powered defense of the Ravens, which will put more pressure on Goff. Detroit has scored 11 of their 21 total touchdowns in the passing game, with nine coming from the rushing game and one from special teams.

This game will be a serious marker to see if Goff is a legitimate candidate for the league MVP.

Pick #3 - Under 43 Total Points Scored from Both Teams (-110)

Within the past few weeks of the league, the scoring has been significantly down from all 32 teams. Both Detroit and Baltimore are coming into this game with highly efficient defenses that are so good they can make the talented offenses of both teams struggle significantly.

Baltimore's defense ranks 4th in the league in points allowed per game (15.2) and second in total yards allowed (260.8). The Ravens have young elite playmakers throughout the entire field, including the linebacker core and the secondary.

As previously mentioned Detroit's defense is among the top scoring units in the league. Their defense is the top-ranked rushing defense in the league, which gives serious caution to Jackson. The Lions have bought into a system of young, but aggressive playmakers on defense, including defensive end Aiden Hutchinson.

Do not expect this game to be the start of more explosive offensive plays as the defense will take over with aggression.
