Eddie Hearn presents for Matchroom Boxing
Eduardo Nunez brings a 29-1-0 record
Emanuel Navarrete has lost only two of 42 bouts
Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing continues its strong presence in the United States with another thrilling card. The Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, provides the backdrop for an eight-bout card, with Eduardo Nunez vs Emanuel Navarrete the main attraction. Both the IBF and WBO world super featherweight titles are on the line here.
Fight fans have been calling for Nunez vs Navarrete for quite some time now. They get their wish, and boxing pundits are confident this showdown will live up to the pre-fight hype. Mexican Eduardo risks his IBF strap, while fellow countryman Emanuel puts his WBO belt on the line. It’s a winner-takes-all scenario, but which gladiator will score a crucial victory?
The leading online bookmakers featured on this page offer pre-fight and live betting on the main event and best of the undercard. You can call the result or play one of the many specials, including the method of victory and total rounds. Need a little help solving this puzzle?

The odds shown in the table above come from the bet365 app, and are correct at the time of writing. As you can see, traders have Nunez as the most likely winner here, pricing him as a firm favourite. Navarrete may be an underdog, but he remains competitive in the betting, and that will catch the eye of value hunters. Will Nunez do as expected, or will we see an upset?
The betting is available online now, but please remember sportsbook odds are subject to change. The prices trading when you place your bets may differ from what was available when we wrote the article. In many cases, it pays to beat the rush and get in early when gambling on professional boxing, especially when targeting the fight-winner market.
The most popular way to gamble on professional boxing is to predict the winner. Choose sides, set a stake, and bet using your smartphone or laptop. If your selection wins, you’ll secure the profits. If the opponent wins or the bout ends in a draw, your bet loses, and the bookie keeps your stake. How your chosen boxer wins isn’t as important as the final result.
Despite being a popular selection, the fight-winner isn’t the only option. A market I like to keep tabs on is the method of victory. With this approach, you’re predicting which fighter will win, but also how they’ll achieve the result: on points or by knockout. During my time in the noble art, I’ve found that following the stats and form often leads to a profit from this market.

Eduardo Nunez is a 28-year-old world champion boxer from Los Mochis, Mexico. Known as Sugar, the 5’ 6” orthodox brings a 29-1-0 record, scoring all but two of his wins inside the distance. Ranked second in his home nation and fourth on the global charts, the warrior with a 93% knockout average knows victory in Glendale would drive him up the pecking order.
The only blot on his copybook was a six-round points decision in Cancun early in his career. That was a shock result, but Nunez didn’t allow it to derail his dreams. He quickly returned to winning ways, scoring 17 wins by KO/TKO on the bounce. Despite that punch power, Nunez has beaten his last two opponents on the cards. Will he add a third win inside the distance?

Another rock-hard Mexican, Emanuel Navarrete, has 39 wins, two defeats, and a draw on his professional boxing card. The 31-year-old from San Juan Zitlaltepec boasts a fearsome 82% KO average, thanks to 32 victories recorded inside the distance. His losses came against Denys Berinchyk on a split decision in 2024, and the other over four rounds in 2012.
Interestingly, Navarrete has won only one of his previous four starts, which does little to inspire confidence among bettors. The spare win came against Oscar Valdez in a sixth-round stoppage. Emanuel drew with Robson Conceicao and had a no-contest with Charly Suarez in San Diego last time, following an accidental clash of heads in round eight.

When two high-ranking Mexicans go toe-to-toe, excitement is guaranteed, regardless of the level. When two world-class operators collide, you better believe we’re in for a memorable contest. But which fighter will come out on top, take home both belts and set up a huge year in their career? I’m siding with the form fighter, who is also the betting favourite and younger.
Navarrete is a fantastic fighter, and we’ve landed a profit following him in the past. One win in four makes Navarrete easy to oppose, and we’re backing Nunez to win. You can take him as a single or add the favourite to your fight night accumulators. Looking for a play at higher odds? I expect this one to go the distance, and you can back Nunez to win on points.
