Dana White returns with Zuffa Boxing 4. The legendary name in UFC targets global domination in professional boxing and has another treat for fight lovers and armchair fans. Jai Opetaia takes on Brandon Glanton over 12 rounds on Sunday evening in the main event from the impressive Meta Apex. You can follow the action live on Paramount.

Opetaia risks his proud unbeaten record as he attempts to move his CV to 30-0-0. The 30-year-old Australian competes in the cruiserweight division and is ranked number one in the world. Standing in his way and aiming to knock him from pole position is Brandon Glanton. The American is the number one cruiserweight in America, but 17th in the world.

Jai Opetaia vs Brandon Glanton 03 09 2026

You’ll find the pre-fight betting odds displayed above. As you can see, traders have Opetaia as a red-hot favourite. The prices suggest that victory for the Australian is a foregone conclusion. Regular readers of my big-time boxing previews know that always makes me uneasy. Anything can happen in the fight game, with upsets common throughout the year.

The odds are correct at the time of writing. Please remember that boxing betting odds are subject to change. The price you see when placing your bets may differ from what was trading when we wrote the preview. I always advise my readers to make predictions and bet early for the best odds. It’s a smart move to avoid the late rush and flood of cash.

The easiest and most common way to bet on professional boxing is to predict the winner. Visit your chosen betting app and tap boxing, the bout, and the odds attached to your chosen boxer. It’ll then appear in your bet slip, where you can input a stake and confirm. Your bet is now live, and you’ll secure the profits if things go the way you expect.

There are other options available to gamblers. My personal favourite is the method of victory. Here, you must call both the winning fighter and how they’ll achieve the result, either on points or by knockout. It’s trickier, but the odds are higher and often represent good value. Study the stats and form to see how your selection has been winning in their last few fights.

Opetaia Form and Figures

Jai Opetaia is a 30-year-old Australian fighting out of Gold Coast, Queensland. The 6’2” southpaw boxer made his professional debut in 2015 with a four-round points win, before scoring a first-round TKO just weeks later. His eye-catching form and raw power ensured he quickly climbed through the ranks. Jai arrives with a record of 23 KOs from his 29 wins.

We last saw the world number one in action when beating Huseyin Cinkara inside eight rounds at Broadbeach before his adoring fans. That quick win means Opetaia has stopped each of the last four men he’s faced, all before the end of round eight. We must go back to May 2025 for his last points win, beating Mairis Briedis in Saudi Arabia to win the IBF title.

Glanton Form and Figures

All the pre-fight hype surrounds the unbeaten visitor, but what does Brandon Glanton bring to the table? Could he upset the odds and win on Sunday in Vegas to delight the home crowd? He’s here on merit and has every chance, but Glanton must be at his best. The 34-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, has 21 wins and three defeats on his record.

Dubbed “Bulletproof”, Brandon followed a points defeat to Chris Billam-Smith in London, England, with a sixth-round stoppage win over Marcus Browne in Nigeria. That victory was expected, but it came back in October of last year. Will the underdog be sharp and ready for war after boxing only six rounds in the last 11 months? We’ll find out on fight night.

Opetaia vs. Glanton Prediction

We now move on to our Opetaia vs Glanton predictions and bets. The form and odds make Opetaia the most likely winner, and I’m not in a position to argue against that stance. Jai is undefeated, has won world titles, and beaten better opponents than he’ll face this weekend. He’s the away fighter, but has shown many times in the past he is comfortable on the road.

Glanton will provide a stern test, especially in the opening exchanges, but I fully expect Jai’s form and class to shine through. There’s not much point in backing him to win, meaning we head into the specials for a better angle. After stopping each of his previous four opponents, we’re backing Opetaia to win inside the distance. The odds for a KO/TKO win appeal.

Despite our stance, I don’t expect this to be over quickly. Jai will want to put on a show and win, but he’s far too experienced to charge in and look to land big shots from the opening bell. He’ll respect what’s coming back and how dangerous Glanton is early in the contest. As the bout goes on, the gulf in class will be evident, and I’m expecting a simple profit.
