Inter Miami vs Porto Where to Watch

Inter Miami vs. Porto Pick

Back Porto to beat Inter Miami on Thursday. The European team are not at the peak of their powers, but they will still have too much for their MLS opponents.

Inter Miami Still Have Eyes on a Place in the Knockout Phase

It was not the start FIFA wanted. After a long build-up to a competition whose introduction was contentious, soccer’s governing body hoped for a high-scoring, end-to-end encounter on matchday one. Instead, Inter Miami and Al Ahly played out a 0-0 draw.

The MLS team - one of three representatives from the USA - spent most of the first half on the back foot, but they found a way to survive. Al Ahly failed to score a penalty and they missed other chances from open play too.

Nil-nil was not a bad result for Inter Miami, but they will surely need to win at least one game if they are to make it into the last 16. Could that be on Thursday?

Porto Looking to End Disappointing Season on a Positive Note

Porto were also involved in a goalless draw last time out, as both they and Palmeiras failed to score in a head-to-head clash.

Porto slumped to a third-place finish in the Portuguese league in 2024/25, so they did not arrive at the Club World Cup on the back of a particularly good season. But they will still like their chances of progressing from Group A.

Martin Anselmi will want to see a bit more from his team’s offense on Thursday as they seek to get off the mark in the USA.

Close Game Expected but It Will Be Tough for Inter Miami to Win

There is unlikely to be much between these two teams at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Neutrals will hope this is not another 0-0 draw.

Inter Miami will fight hard to get something from this match, but they may ultimately be left disappointed.

This is not a vintage Porto team but they will still probably have too much quality for Lionel Messi and co. We fancy the Portuguese outfit to win this Group A clash.
