The NBA Three-Point Contest is arguably the crowning event of All-Star Weekend, and the betting odds for this year’s event are shocking.
Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, who hasn’t appeared in an NBA game since he tore his Achilles on April 27 in the first round of the playoffs last year, is listed as the favorite. Lillard won the event in 2023 and 2024, but he wasn’t even expected to compete in the event.
Here’s a look at the complete odds for the NBA Three-Point Shootout, along with my pick to take home the trophy, how to watch the event, and more.

Despite what the oddsmakers believe, I don’t have confidence in Lillard showing up and going about his business as he normally would, given his recovery from the injury. Instead, I’ll take the player just behind him in the betting odds.
NBA Three-Point Contest Pick: Kon Kneuppel +410 at FanDuel Sportsbook
Kneuppel is a rhythmic shooter who can get hot, and he’s used to shooting stationary, off the dribble, and while sprinting off of screens. His elite efficiency is a testament to his consistency, and as a rookie, he should attack this event with the energy and vigor necessary to come out on top.

As mentioned, Lillard leads the field with an implied 20.4 percent chance to take home the title. He’s just ahead of rookie Kon Keuppel and first-time participant Jamal Murray.
Here are the relevant stats of this year’s participants:
Lillard: No appearances since the first round of the 2024-25 NBA playoffs
Kneuppel: 3.4 3PM, 42.8% 3PT
Murray: 3.2 3PM, 42.8% 3PT
Maxey: 3.4 3PM, 37.9% 3PT
Mitchell: 3.7 3PM, 37.7% 3PT
Booker: 1.7 3PM, 30.7 3PT%
Powell: 2.9 3PM, 39.6 3PT%
Portis: 1.9 3PM, 45.6 3PT%
Contestants will compete in a maximum of two rounds. They will have 70 seconds to make as many shots as they can from different locations on the court, including five racks with five balls in the corners, at the breaks, and directly in front of the basket, as well as two long-range shots above the break. The individuals with the three highest scores in the first round will advance to the final.
Here are the projected first-round scores of all the participants, according to FanDuel Sportsbook:
Lillard: O/U 24.5 (-102/-130)
Kneuppel: O/U 23.5 (-130/-102)
Murray: O/U 23.5 (-118/-112)
Maxey: O/U 23.5 (+100/-132)
Mitchell: O/U 22.5 (-130/-102)
Booker: O/U 22.5 (-118/-112)
Powell: O/U 21.5 (-120/-110)
Portis: O/U 20.5 (-102/-130)
Bettors who don't have the conviction to pick an outright winner can pick the players who they think will advance to the final. FanDuel allows up to three picks to be combined into a parlay.
Lillard is the odds-on favorite at -115 (53.5 percent implied chance) to log one of the three highest scores in round one and to advance to the final. Here are the complete NBA Three-Point shootout odds to make the final.
