NBA Player Props and Best Bets: Victor Wembanyama, Jalen Brunson & More Picks for Wednesday, Nov. 12

Wednesday features one of the best days of NBA action so far, and I’ve made my picks for the best player props of the day.

Our 4-1 day yesterday was highlighted by a 280-point offensive frenzy between the Indiana Pacers and the Utah Jazz, which finished with the latter putting up 152 points in regulation. Nikola Jokic also dropped 35 points, 15 rebounds, and seven assists on 16-19 shooting in a win over the Sacramento Kings.

The most enticing game on Wednesday features the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers, while Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs will also host Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

Here are my top five NBA player prop bets and picks for Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Kon Kneuppel Under 3.5 Threes (-120) at FanDuel Sportsbook

The young rookie from Duke looks like he’s going to be a stud for years to come. He’s already averaging 16.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game and, in his last two games, was one assist short of a triple-double and scored 30 points against the Miami Heat.

To add to his hot start as a professional, Kneuppel also made 3.2 threes per game on 40 percent shooting from deep. However, the Bucks allowed the second-fewest made threes per game and held their opponents to 32 percent from range, which will make it tough for Kneuppel to cash the over.

Alex Sarr Under 3.5 Assists (-128) at FanDuel Sportsbook

The Washington Wizards have shown flashes on both sides of the ball, but they have one of the least efficient overall offenses in the entire NBA. They’re also about to face a Houston Rockets squad on the road that allowed the fifth-fewest points per game and is eighth in defensive rating.

Although the Rockets are right around the middle of the league in assists allowed per game, they generally do a great job of making life difficult for opposing offenses. Sarr went under in four of his last seven games and won’t have easy passes to his teammates, thanks to Houston’s wings and guards.

Rui Hachimura Over 1.5 Threes (-130) at FanDuel Sportsbook

The Thunder have the most active defense in the NBA and won’t mind blitzing the Lakers’ ball-handlers, namely, Doncic, to get the ball out of his hands. They’re comfortable rotating and playing through a scramble drill, but that still means that the ball should find its way to LA’s shooters, such as Hachimura, in the corners.

The 27-year-old forward made 2.0 threes per game on 52.4 percent shooting from range and went over this line in six straight games. He won’t continue to shoot this well forever, but the Thunder allowed the most made threes per game on 40.5 percent shooting, presenting Hachimura with a favorable matchup.

Jalen Brunson Over 6.5 Assists (-114) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Brunson is coming off of a 32-point eruption against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday evening. More importantly for us, he also had 10 assists in that game, marking the fourth straight time that he cashed over 6.5 assists.

The New York Knicks’ leading man has now gone over in six of his last eight games while averaging 6.6 assists for the year. The Magic have a strong defense and only allowed the second-fewest assists per game, but Brunson’s gravity as a scorer should force the defense to tilt in his direction and leave enough space for his talented teammates to find the cup.

Victor Wembanyama Under 11.5 Rebounds (-130) at FanDuel Sportsbook

It might seem like a mistake to bet the under on Wemby against a Warriors team that doesn’t play many tall players. My counter to that is the Dubs launch the seventh-most three-pointers per game, which will create lots of long rebounds that soar over the head of the French sensation.

The Warriors are 21st in rebounds allowed per game, but many of those boards go to opposing wings and guards, not centers. Wemby also failed to get double-digit boards in his lone matchup against the Bay Area representatives last year and has two overs to three unders in November.
