Monday has arrived, but don’t worry; I’ve assembled my best NBA player prop picks to break the monotony and kick off the new week with a bang.
Luka Doncic returned after a few days off to drop 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists, while Jaylen Brown dropped 30 points and eight rebounds to lift the Boston Celtics over the Toronto Raptors.
There are only three games today, the best of which will see the Minnesota Timberwolves host the Phoenix Suns. The Wolves have been one of the best teams in basketball for the last month, yet they’re only one spot above the Suns in sixth in the Western Conference.
Let’s not delay any longer. Here are my top NBA player prop picks and bets for Monday, Dec. 8.

Raynaud appears to be the flavor of the month in Sacramento, and possibly the NBA landscape. The second-round rookie center from Stanford has seen an increase in minutes recently, coinciding with Domantas Sabonis' partially torn meniscus, and he’s made the most of his opportunities.
The rook snatched 10 rebounds to go with his 12 points in his last game against the Miami Heat. He only had six rebounds in two games before that, but he’s getting one of the best matchups in the league with the Indiana Pacers, who rank 27th in rebounds allowed per game.

The Kings have been terrible on defense nearly all season long, yet they’ve been solid at defending against the three. That’s a total dichotomy, especially in the modern-day NBA, but they are seventh in three-point percentage and 10th in made threes allowed over their last 15 games.
The Pacers are down Ben Sheppard, Aaron Nesmith, and Obi Toppin, along with playmaker Tyrese Haliburton. The lack of shooters and playmakers around Nembhard means that he will get the full attention of a defense that has been stingy beyond the arc.

Brooks is having a career year as a scorer, having averaged 22.3 points per game during his first campaign with the Suns. He also went over this line in three straight games, although he was right on it with 22 points in his only previous matchup with the Timberwolves.
As mentioned above, the Wolves have been playing outstanding basketball, and they are 10th in points allowed per game over their last 15 outings. Brooks will have his hands full on defense trying to guard Anthony Edwards, who loves to talk trash and won’t back down from a challenge.

Speaking of Edwards, I love him to get over his three-point line in tonight’s contest. He took a totally uncharacteristic four threes total in his last two games, but he averaged 3.4 makes and 8.1 attempts per game (translating to 41.6 percent shooting from downtown).
Ant Man went 5-11 from beyond the arc when these teams last played, and he cashed the over in six straight games before his last two outings. The Suns have a strong three-point defense, but that doesn’t matter when Edwards can create a shot from anywhere.

Look, Kornet has proven himself to be a great backup center who can defend, rebound, and catch lobs… but just because he’s about to take on a horrendous New Orleans Pelicans team does not mean that he is suddenly going to stuff the stat sheet.
The 7-foot-1 big man went under this line in four straight and seven of his last eight games. He had 12 rebounds in an overtime matchup with the Pels on October 24, but I also don’t expect him to play another 35 minutes, or for tonight’s game to ever be in the balance like that one was.
