As the first day of the knockout portion of the NBA In-Season Tournament begins, I’m here to share my top NBA player prop picks for Tuesday.
Russell Westbrook turned back the clock and had 24 points, 14 assists, and 12 rebounds, but the Indiana Pacers were able to take down the Sacramento Kings. Derik Queens also had the undisputed best performance of his professional career, dropping 33 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, but also in a loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
There are only two matchups tonight over on the Eastern Conference side of the NBA Cup bracket. The first will see the Orlando Magic host the Miami Heat, before the Toronto Raptors close out the night by welcoming the New York Knicks into town.
With the stage set, here are my top NBA player prop picks and bets for Tuesday, Dec. 9.

Powell averaged 24.8 points per game and has maintained his production even with Tyler Herro’s return to the lineup. He went over this line in three of his last four games and took 16.2 field goals per game in 30.5 average minutes per night.
The Heat are, obviously, a part of the NBA Cup quarterfinal, and history has shown that coaches are more likely to play their top guys extra minutes in the competition. That means that Powell, already a prolific scorer, could be on the floor for even longer than usual during tonight’s contest.

Suggs hasn’t had his touch as a shooter and only made 32.3 percent of threes in November and 29.4 percent in October. He also went under this line in five of his last seven games and was only 1-6 from downtown in his last outing on Sunday.
The former Gonzaga man sank four threes in his only previous matchup with the Heat less than one week ago, and the Heat are 22nd in made threes allowed per game. At the same time, Miami holds teams to the second-lowest three-point percentage (33.0), and Suggs will have to fight against tired legs from chasing the Heat in transition all night.

Ingram dropped 30 points in a loss to the Boston Celtics in his last outing on Sunday evening. Despite that, he went under this line in five of his last six games while averaging 21.2 points on 46.6 percent field goal shooting for the year.
The Knicks have been playing at an extremely high level recently, giving up the fifth-fewest points per game, in addition to the second-fewest points in the paint per game over their last 10 matchups. The Raptors also fell to 24th in offensive rating during that same span, and I think they will struggle to create efficient offense tonight.

Building off of the pick above, an inefficient Raptors offense would lead to more missed shots, thereby creating more rebounding opportunities. Towns went under this line in five of his last six games and only had eight boards when he played the Raptors a week and a half ago, but that doesn’t tell the full story.
The Knicks blew the Raptors out when they played, resulting in Towns playing just 31 minutes. He also had nine boards in 22 minutes in his last game and had 18 boards the game before that, not to mention that he averaged 11.9 rebounds in 33.1 minutes per game.

The Knicks are third in offensive rating over the last 10 games, and Hart went over this line in six of his last eight outings. That includes a 20-point, 12-rebounds, seven-assist night against the Raptors when the two teams matched up on the final day of November.
The Raptors have a strong defense and don’t allow many assists, but Hart’s excellence in transition allows him to create easy looks for his teammates. Jalen Brunson and Towns are also playing at an elite level, and any time Hart gets them the ball, they have a great chance to put it in the cup.
