It’s Friday, and I’ve picked the best NBA player prop bets to roll into the weekend with a bang.
Nikola Jokic had the best showing of Thursday night, dropping 36 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists in the Denver Nuggets’ win over the Sacramento Kings. Amen Thompson also had 20 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists, helping to power the Houston Rockets to a two-point victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Friday’s schedule features multiple exciting and competitive matchups, including a 7:00 p.m. ET showdown between the Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons. The day will conclude with the Golden State Warriors hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves, who had their five-game winning streak snapped their last time on the court.
Here are my best NBA player prop picks and bets for Friday, Dec. 12.

Alexander-Walker is going to be a formidable opponent to others trying to win the Most Improved Player award. The former Virginia Tech Hokie boosted his scoring average from 9.4 points last year to 20.7, with shooting splits of 47/39/86, in his first season with the Hawks.
The 27-year-old guard dropped 27 points on the Pistons when these teams played on Dec. 1, doubling back from when he gave them 24 points on Nov. 18. He went over this line in four of his last six and is shooting the ball with confidence, having made 44.4 percent of his threes this month.

Miller is a talented young player who made four threes in his last game and went over in three of his last five. With that said, he also made only 2.3 threes per game on 28.6 percent shooting, meaning his efficiency has dropped every year of his brief NBA career.
The Charlotte Hornets are preparing to take on the Chicago Bulls, who have a bottom-10 three-point defense. Miller went 5-11 from range when these teams played on Nov. 28, but his erratic inefficiency, combined with an expected increase in attention from the Bulls’ defense, should result in him going under.

-148 odds might not be the most attractive odds in the world, but the reality is that these should be closer to the -170 or -180 range, in my opinion. Coward was a 38.6 percent three-point shooter in college, and he’s more than capable of knocking down long-rangers with his fluid stroke.
The rookie forward went under this line in eight straight games, but I’m confident that will prove to be an outlier streak. The Jazz also ranked 28th in made threes allowed and three-point percentage allowed over their last 15 games, while Coward plays 27.1 minutes per night and takes 4.6 threes per game.

Edwards is seventh in the NBA in scoring at 28.7 points per game. He also went over this line in seven of his last nine games, but he’s about to get quite the test from a defensive-minded Warriors squad.
The Dubs allowed the second-fewest points per game, but that’s not totally representative, seeing as Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler missed time and were replaced in the rotation by defensive players. With them back on the court, the Warriors’ defense should be more open, leaving the red-hot Edwards to feast.

Nembhard is having a career season, which was to be expected without Tyrese Haliburton on the court. But despite averaging 17.9 points per game, he only made 1.8 threes per game on 35.8 percent shooting from downtown.
The 25-year-old went over in four of his last five, but he only attempted 3.5 threes per game in December. The Philadelphia 76ers rank 10th in made threes allowed per game over their last 15, and Nembhard simply doesn’t take all that many, which is why I’d look for him to go under this mark.
