There are only two more nights until Christmas, so consider these Tuesday NBA player prop picks my present to fans of action on the hardwood.
Anthony Davis played one of his best games of the season, but his 35 points and 17 rebounds weren’t enough for the Dallas Mavericks to take down the New Orleans Pelicans. Jalen Duren also continued his All-Star push with 26 points and 10 rebounds in a hard-fought win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
All but two teams are in action tonight. The standout matchups include the New York Knicks visiting the Minnesota Timberwolves, as well as the Los Angeles Lakers meeting the Phoenix Suns.
I’m 18-4 over my last 22 picks shared right here at WSN. Let’s see if we can continue that run with a strong day and with these NBA player prop bets and picks for Tuesday.

Miller hasn’t exactly found his shooting touch since he returned to the floor, posting a line of 39/33/85. That said, he took 16.1 field goals per game and 17.4 per game in December, which means that his volume is more than enough to get over this line.
Miller dropped 20 points on 61.5 percent shooting his last time on the floor and went over this line in three of his last four. He hasn’t faced the Washington Wizards this season, but the Wiz allowed the fourth-most points per game, so it’s not hard to imagine him having a solid day on the court.

Johnson’s transformation into a borderline superstar has been a joy to watch. The high-flying 24-year-old averaged 23.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game, and he beat this line in six of his last 10 outings.
To add to Johnson’s hot scoring streak, he dropped 36 and 43 points in two of his last three games, both with Trae Young on the floor, and one of those against this same Chicago Bulls squad. The Bulls also rank third in points allowed per game, giving up 124 per night.

Kolek has not played a game without Jalen Brunson this season, which means that we’re entering unknown territory with him. He can expect to get an increase in playing time tonight, but I’m not so sure that warrants the large bump on his points line.
Kolek, 24, only beat this line twice in 24 games this season. He averaged 5.4 points per game on 29.4 percent three-point shooting in December, and the Timberwolves are only just outside of the top 10 in average points allowed, so I’d be leaning on his under.

Reaves is about to make his return to the court for the first time in nearly two weeks at the same time that Luka Doncic is prepared to sit out with a leg injury. Reaves averaged 6.7 assists per game, but LeBron James has also looked to be a facilitator more than a scorer when sharing the court with his teammates.
Without Doncic, the Lakers need Reaves to become a volume scorer. He’s more than capable of doing that, having averaged 27.8 points per night, but that suggests that he could struggle to rack up assists, especially against a Suns defense that ranks ninth in assists allowed per game.

Durant’s game is aging like fine wine—not that there was ever a question if it would or not. The scoring extraordinaire averaged 25.3 points and beat this line in nine of his last 10 games, while the Los Angeles Clippers are right about league-average in points allowed per game over their last 15 outings.
It’s hard to believe, but Durant’s 50.9 percent shooting standard from the field is the worst of his career since the 2013-14 season in OKC. Still, his unrelenting consistency and the Clippers’ mediocre defense are both reasons to back him in tonight’s contest.
