As the world transitions out of Christmas and prepares for New Year celebrations, I’m back to share my best NBA player prop picks for Saturday.
Keyonte George continued his excellent campaign with 31 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, and a game-winning shot against the Detroit Pistons, while James Harden dropped 34 points and six assists in the nightcap against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Saturday’s best matchup will see the Denver Nuggets hit the road to take on the Orlando Magic. The Cleveland Cavaliers will also look to get back to winning ways as they get ready to battle the Houston Rockets on the road.
Here are my top NBA player prop bets and picks for Saturday, Dec. 27.

Flagg, who is only 19 years old, is finding his groove. He dropped 27 and 33 points in his last two games and went over this line in four of his last seven. He also scored 42 and 35 points in his last two games without Anthony Davis, who is not expected to suit up tonight.
The Sacramento Kings rank 26th in points allowed per game and 27th in points in the paint allowed per game, which is a positive sign for the interior-focused Flagg. Their best defender, Keegan Murray, is also out, which means that Precious Achiuwa will likely draw the assignment of trying to slow down Flagg.

Jokic put up video game numbers on Christmas, becoming the first player in league history to have 56 points, 16 rebounds, and 15 assists in a single game. Despite that, he still went under this line in four of his last five games and averaged 29.8 points per game for the year overall.
The Magic visited the Nuggets in Denver on Dec. 18, and Jokic finished with 23 points on 58.8 percent shooting. The Magic are curiously 25th in points in the paint allowed per game despite also being 12th in total points allowed per game, but Jokic has never beaten this line in his career against the Magic.

Since returning from his knee injury, Young scored eight, 35, 22, and 30 points. Those games were played against the Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls, and Miami Heat, all of whom rank 20th or worse in total points allowed per game.
The New York Knicks are a very physical team that can both Young because of his size, and they rank eighth in average points allowed. The Atlanta Hawks’ guard hasn’t faced a team like this one since he got back on the court, and it could be a shock to his system.

Sheppard has taken noticeable steps in his second professional season, averaging 13.3 points per game and shooting 43 percent from beyond the arc. He also went over this line in three of his last four games and was one point away from an over the last time he faced the Cavaliers.
Cleveland has a solid defense, but it’s not as strong as it was a year ago. The team also ranks 19th in made threes allowed per game and 26th in three-point percentage allowed (37.7), which opens the door to a strong day for the sharpshooting Sheppard.

Castle had built off of his Rookie of the Year campaign by improving his averages across the board. He still struggles to shoot from downtown, but averaged 18.6 points on 51.5 percent shooting in 30.5 minutes per night.
Despite his talent and potential, the young guard only went over this line one time in his last six games. The Utah Jazz allowed more points per game than every team in basketball, but they’re 16.5-point underdogs, so there’s a chance that Castle is pulled early in a blowout win… or he could just go under the standard way.
