Looking for the best NBA player prop picks on Tuesday? I tried my hand at picking my top five for the upcoming action.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker continued his Most Improved Player campaign, putting up 32 points, six rebounds, and six assists, but the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Atlanta Hawks by two points. Victor Wembanyama also dropped 33 points and 10 rebounds in a win over the Utah Jazz.
There are multiple high-profile matchups today, including an in-state battle between the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets, and a cross-conference showdown featuring the Phoenix Suns and Philadelphia 76ers.
Here are my top five NBA player prop picks and bets for Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Allen hasn’t been a true sharpshooter since returning to action, only making 34.9 percent of his three-point attempts since Jan. 5. However, he’s taken a ton of attempts from long range, averaging 10.8 per game and topping out at 20 (!!!) in a matchup with the Detroit Pistons on Jan. 15.
Allen went over this line in five straight games, during which he attempted a median of 13 threes in one game and never dropped below nine. The 76ers have done a very solid job of defending the perimeter recently, but Allen’s recent volume is far too high for me to bet his under in this spot.

Vucevic went under this line in three of his last four games, despite grabbing 11 boards against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. He doesn’t have a previous matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers this season on which he can be judged, but I still like him to go under.
The Clippers have Ivica Zubac in the lineup, and they ranked seventh in rebounds allowed per game over their last few weeks of play. Kawhi Leonard is also out, leaving James Harden to take tons of threes and free-throws, both of which limit most centers’ opportunities to collect rebounds.

The Houston Rockets are the best rebounding team in basketball and aren’t afraid to deploy a double-big lineup, while also having Amen Thompson, Jabari Smith Jr., and Kevin Durant also on the court. That can make it understandably difficult for their opponents to post strong box scores.
Wemby also hasn’t been dominant on the glass, going under this line in four of his last six games. He was held to just 23.2 minutes per game in December and 25.9 in January, and that also plays a factor in his likelihood of finishing below this line.

Murray is easily having the most productive year of his career, averaging 25.9 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.4 rebounds, all career highs, on 49/45/89 shooting splits, those also being career-bests minus the free-throw shooting. To add to that, he went over this line in three of his last four games, averaging 29.9 points per game in January.
The Denver Nuggets haven’t squared off with the Los Angeles Lakers, but Murray could wreak havoc with his shiftiness on the perimeter, and the Lakers’ poor perimeter defense. Murray is also used to showing up against the Lakers due to their recent playoff battles.

There hasn’t been any indication that the Jazz have figured out a solution for their abysmal three-point defense, as they ranked dead last in made threes allowed per game on 37.7 percent shooting over their last 15 contests. Edwards also went 5-9 (55.6 percent) and 7-12 (58.3 percent) in two previous matchups with the Jazz back in November.
Ant Man put on one of the best displays of shot-making in the entire NBA in his last game on Saturday, going 9-16 (56.3 percent) from three and scoring 55 points in a regulation loss against the Spurs. He went over this line in five of his last six games, and there seems to be a ton of value on this line.
